The game follows Shimizu Hinako, a 15 year old living in the remote town of Ebisugaoka. Her life was pretty mundane until a mysterious fog engulfed the city, and all the horror begun.
The trailer shows a variety of twisted enemies for you to encounter, and features some themes of friendship and how this is affecting Hinako's life, likely being what most of the psychological aspects of the game will focus on. The official site also mentions depictions of gender discrimination, child abuse, and bullying. All in all, it looks like this game will focus heavily on Hinako's life and her journey through "Silent Hill" will help her confront some of her trauma.
