Beds have been a hot topic since the launch of Schedule 1 in late March and it's not really surprising. Each of your employees, in your growing need for automation in everyone's favourite dealing game, require a place to sleep overnight and that means taking up precious, limited space with a large blocky bed.
With beds requiring so much space, it requires getting very crafty with the way you setup your place of operations whether that is the Bungalow, Sweatshop, Barn, or Warehouse, to make sure space is perfectly utilized. Not only that, but they are a poor use of space because they are so awkwardly sized. Placing them on the second floor of the Barn for example leads to empty space. The only person that ever needs to visit a bed in Schedule 1 is you, the player, to put money in that person's briefcase so they can be paid each day.

Tyler, the creator of Schedule 1 agrees that the beds aren't the ideal solution to the problem and has decided they need a replacement. The solution? Lockers!
Huge addition more like it!
If you've been a fan of the drug dealing genre of games, you may be familiar with last year's release of Drug Dealer Simulator 2. DDS2 also uses lockers for employee management, which each employee getting their own locker. Honestly, its the perfect solution to the problem and we're excited to see the space savings because of it.
Maybe it won't be so painful to navigate the mess of beds that has become the Warehouse and Barn when you hit the 10 employee limit, and it looks like it will be a lot easier to get additional employees at the tiny Bungalow instead of using one of its three rooms for all the beds. No time of release has been confirmed yet for lockers, and we have no idea how much space they will end up saving, however, if you feel comfortable with mods, there's an existing Employee Locker mod available over on Nexus.
If you're ever curious about what is being worked on, Schedule 1 keeps a public Trello board to showcase the ongoing development roadmap.
