Microsoft and Meta Reveal New Xbox-Edition Quest 3S Headset for 399 USD

Microsoft just announced a new version of the Quest 3S, Meta's entry-level VR headset. This version of the console comes in a black-with-green-accents color scheme, and the package includes the Elite head strap, an exclusive Xbox Series controller, and 3 months of Horizon+ (Meta's subscription service for their VR titles) and Game Pass Ultimate. The console is out now for 399 USD.

This is a pretty good deal, since the console + controller + head strap alone go above this price. Add in the 3 months on the two service, and it's totally worth it if you're looking to get into VR. Do keep in mind that this is a very limited release, mostly in the US and UK areas, so get them while they're hot if you want one. This is also the 3S, the weaker of the two headsets Meta is currently selling to consumers.

Keep in mind that the console itself does NOT play Xbox game. This whole thing is most likely marketing for the fact that you can stream Xbox games on the Quest 3 via Microsoft's cloud services, something that was added recently. The main selling point is being able to play those game on a giant virtual screen with mixed reality.
