After seeing the first trailer in 2019, it seemed really exciting for fans of the original game when the sequel finally announced its release date this year along with the game even getting its own showcase. One thing that everyone has been really critical about though was the steep asking price of $79.99.
If you were one of those people hoping that the game would drop in price prior to its release, then you're in luck because whomever is in charge of the game pricing appeared to have taken note of the pushback and dropping the price in response, from $79.99 to... $69.99. Yeah, it's not much, and most of the aforementioned pushback will still be present, but it's better than nothing.
Quote From The Outer Worlds Dear Galactic Citizens! We have received your SOS via skip drone about the pricing. As an organization devoted to making sure that corporations do not go unfettered, we at the Earth Directorate have worked with [REDACTED] to revise the price of The Outer Worlds 2. While this will not bring peace to the galaxy, or even your local colony, we assure you all that we are here to fight for all colonies in every way that we can. From the Office of the Director of the Earth Directorate
