In a new update to Fortnite OG, players can now visit the standard OG mode (not Zero build, sorry folks) and click on the dropdown that allows you to select the group size. Under this dropdown, a new option is called "Duo (Expert)" which will make everything feel even more original, just as Epic Games has presented back in the day.
What is Duo (Expert) Mode in Fortnite OG?
Duo (Expert) takes you and a friend, or pairs you up with one, and lets you drop into the original map with the removal of two important mechanics that are in modern Fortnite:
No More Skill-based Matchmaking
In Duo (Expert), SBMM will no longer be available so it's going to be an OG sweatfest just as it was all the way back in the day. If you're newer to the game, expect to get stomped to the curb because you're going to be paired up against some of the wildest builders known to to man and potentially even get a glimpse of professional players.
No Bots
Bots and online multiplayer games have become synonymous with each other over the past few years with companies filling large lobbies with fake players to get games started quickly and to give everyone some easy kills for feel good moments. With no Skill-based Matchmaking to worry about, we suspect the lobbies will be filling fairly quickly while this mode is still around so don't worry about waiting too long to get onto the Battle Bus.
