The 48th Maximus cup has launched on Tetris 99 on the Nintendo Switch and with it comes a celebratory theme for the recently released Donkey Kong Bananza! As announced by Nintendo this past week, the theme includes art, music, and Tetrimino designs all inspired by the new Donkey Kong game that launched exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2.

The Maximus Cup event lasts through Monday, August 4, so go earn yourself 100 points this weekend to unlock yourself the theme. This can be completed on either the original Nintendo Switch or the Nintendo Switch 2, provided you have access to Nintendo Switch Online. Best of luck hitting that highly-desired 1st place finish.
