Bethesda's Fallout Day celebration took place today and with it came the announcement of the Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition! Arriving on PC, Xbox, and Playstation on November 10, and Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.
The new purchase coincides with the 10th anniversary of Fallout 4 and will bring for numerous official add-ons and Creation Club content.
This is probably a good thing considering the award-winning game is unsurprisingly beloved by many and we won't be seeing a Fallout 5 until Bethesda gets The Elder Scrolls 6 launched, which, we still don't have a release date for, though ES6 did enter active production once Starfield released. Maybe we need another Skyrim edition first to summon ES6?
Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition Contents
There are six official expansions of content that are a part of the anniversary edition. They are:
- Story Add-ons
- Far Harbor
- Automatron
- Nuka-World
- Workshop Add-ons
- Contraptions
- Wasteland
- Vault-Tec

There are also over 150 Creation Club items that will bring in unique weapons, power armor, pip-boy paint jobs, and more. And yes, that does mean that there is a brand-new in-game Creations menu, making it easier for players to discover, download and enjoy content from addon developers.

This is the definitive Fallout 4 experience all packaged up into one single product. Are you looking forward to the anniversary edition? Are you buying it on day 1 or are you going to wait for a sale? Let us know in the comments below.

I was thinking of finally buying Fallout 4 since it's still on sale at Steam and now I see this and now I think I should wait.
Then again, if it's anything like Skyrim, the OG version and the Anniversary Edition will both be buyable as separate products that count as two games for achievement purposes, so maybe I should get both, hahaha.
Actually now that I think about it, it would undoubtedly be cheaper to buy the game and then buy the upgrade after that if they both counted as one product.
