Nearly three months ago, Battlestate Games announced that Escape from Tarkov would finally leave beta on November 15 2025 after its initial closed beta happened on July 28 2017, because no one knows what the word "beta" is supposed to mean anymore.
Wouldn't you know it, we're at the day that the game is out. It's buyable on either Steam, or the company's official game page. No matter which one you buy it on, you will also be getting a 15% discount for all editions until November 29. If you want to buy the game in spite of what the title of the article is about to tell you, you'll be getting a deal.
Steam reviews however are not exactly thrilled at the game's arrival after the nearly-decade long waiting period of getting an official release. One of the biggest culprits is that it has been taking some users several hours just to log into the game, and because the game's third-party launcher is always running, Steam detects this as game playtime meaning that users are not able to request refunds after trying to log in for over two hours and having no gameplay.
With the servers being overloaded and experiencing a very long maintenance time, people are unable to play the game, growing impatient and frustrated with the launcher, and feel like they've been scammed out of a refund.
This review by user "GHOST" says it all. GHOST, if you happen to read this, you are now forever a part of Out of Games lore because of this article.

News on the matter? Well Battlestate themselves haven't posted anything, so we can only just hope that they do something soon.
