The Spec III update for Gran Turismo 7 releases tomorrow, and one of the most major additions to the update is the first paid DLC for Gran Turismo 7, and only the second ever paid DLC in the entire franchise - The Power Pack!
The Power pack is a new DLC that adds 50 new races across 20 different themed categories, including the fabled return of the 24 hour races, which to date have only appeared in GT4 and GT5. When you buy the DLC, you'll receive a bonus of 5,000,000 Credits, and the "Power Pack" option on the World Map will become available once you complete Menu Book No.9 'Championship: Tokyo Highway Parade. The DLC is only available on PlayStation 5.
The DLC is about bringing real world racing to the world of Gran Turismo 7. Each race comes with a full race day session, meaning that there's a practice session to get a feel for the car-track combination you'll be dealing with, a qualifying session making its first appearance in an offline mode since GT4, and finally the full race. Real racing means there's no second chances. You miss a turn and your race might be over... for good.
Quote From Polyphony Digital On 4 December 2025, the highly anticipated 'Gran Turismo 7 - Power Pack' DLC arrives for the PlayStation®5 version of Gran Turismo 7 as a paid Add-On, delivering a brand-new game mode based around the theme of real racing and comes bundled with 5,000,000 In-game Credits.
The Power Pack represents a new challenge in Gran Turismo, offering a new format in the pursuit of the true racing experience.
This new game mode offers a variety of motorsports challenges, including full race weekend formats from practice to qualifying to the main race, as well as 50 new events across 20 themed categories, including 24-hour races, all inspired by global automotive and motorsport traditions. AI Agent 'Gran Turismo Sophy' 3.0 is also used exclusively throughout all of the races for more realistic tail-to-nose racing action.
Experience the full racing journey and cross the finish line. With each attempt, you’ll naturally learn how to win on the track. An authentic racing challenge awaits you in the Power Pack.
Upon completing the Menu Book No.9 'Championship: Tokyo Highway Parade,' a sailing boat will appear in the bottom left of the World Map. Clicking on this Pavilion will take you to a screen where the Power Pack can be purchased.

Real racing in full session format
The Power Pack's most significant feature is the ability to compete in full race sessions, just like in authentic motorsports. Start by getting a feel for the car and track in practice, set your time in the qualifier, and then it's time to compete in the main race. True to real racing, every position matters, so do your best to move up even one position on your way to the finish. There are no retries once the race begins. This is true racing with no second chances.
Instead of cars from your garage, you compete in races using special event cars. The difficulty varies according to the car, so make your decision wisely Practice: In this session, getting a feel for the car and track is vital. Also, take note of the strengths of the rival cars here
Qualifier: In this session, you drive around the track within a set time limit to record your best lap time. The key lies in how to secure a clean lap with rival cars also driving around the track Race: It's now time for the main race. Once the race starts, enjoy the on-track battles and aim to finish. Watch out for crashes!
Intense, tail-to-nose battles with Gran Turismo Sophy 3.0
Rival cars are controlled by Gran Turismo Sophy (GT Sophy), a racing AI agent developed in collaboration between Polyphony Digital, Sony AI, and Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE). The Power Pack exclusively features the latest version, GT Sophy 3.0, which offers the most realistic AI behaviour yet and delivers intense, tail-to-nose battles that make every lap a challenge.
50 events over 20 categories, including 24-hour races
The Power Pack brings 50 new events across 20 themed categories, inspired by automotive traditions from Japan, Asia, Europe, America, alongside historic, tuning and Nürburgring themes. You will travel the world of racing, participating in everything from One-Make series and full-scale race days featuring Gr. 1 and Gr. 3 cars, to 24-hour endurance challenges and unique and unusual races.
