Escape From Tarkov Drops a New Wintery Code for Free Items in PVE and PVP

Escape From Tarkov has dropped a new limited-time code to celebrate the arrival of Winter, and with that comes several supplies to help beat the cold - and upgrade your hideout in the process.

These rewards can be obtained via your Battlestate Games launcher, and will require logging into the game to grab them out of your mailbox. Here's what you're getting and the code on how you can get it:

• 1x Ushanka ear flap hat
• 1x Ski hat with holes for eyes (Shmaska)
• 2x Hunting matches
• 2x Dry fuel
• 1x Metal fuel tank (Not Found in Raid)
• 1x Antique teapot (Not Found in Raid)
• 1x 42 Signature Blend English Tea (Not Found in Raid)
• 1x Aquamari water bottle with filter (Not Found in Raid)
• 1x #FireKlean gun lube

To redeem these rewards in both PVP and PVE, enter the code "WINTERISHERE" on your Battlestate Games launcher. We'll post an update when the code is no longer available to redeem, but you definitely want to get on this quick because free stuff, especially stuff marked as Found in Raid, is always a big win.

Making Good Use of WINTERISHERE Items

Now, what can you do with all these goodies? We've got some ideas, which are especially important for newer players or players who haven't progressed very far yet.

• Ragman has a quest called "Dressed to Kill" which requires 2x Ushanka to be found in raid. You will also need 2 Cowboy hats..
• Ragman also has a quest called "Sew it Good - Part 1" which needs 1 Ski Hat and a Pilgrim backpack. Other than this, it is a useless item.
• 2x Hunting Matches can help get you to Heating Level 2 in your hideout
• 2x Dry Fuel gets you 2/5 for Heating Level 2 in your hideout
• Dry Fuel can also go towards Jaeger's Loyalty Level 3 trade for a Red Rebel Ice Pick, which is used for certain extracts. You need 15 of them, and Fuel conditioner and Propane for that though.
• Sadly, Metal fuel tank isn't useful for the early quest, Rite of Passage that requires 2 of them to be Found in Raid, but you can use it for the Natural Exchange quest from the BTR Driver.
• #FireKlean gun lube is used for the Collector quest since it has Found in Raid status. This gets you the Kappa Container.
