If you follow racing sim games in any capacity, then you've probably already seen this one coming. You would've guessed that the game had died from the months it went without any content updates, but Turn 10 has finally outright confirmed it - Forza Motorsport is dead. It's not clear if "Forza Motorsport" in this context refers to strictly the 2023 reboot game simply called "Forza Motorsport", or if it refers to the entire franchise as a whole, but they have stated that they don't anticipate adding any new content to the game as their focus is shifted towards Forza Horizon 6.
Quote From Turn 10 Studios Thank you for all your support throughout 2025! It’s incredible to see the community’s passion for Forza Motorsport, and we love racing with you in Featured Multiplayer and seeing your cars and drifting skills in Meetups.
As our team shifts its focus toward delivering the best possible experience with Forza Horizon 6 in 2026, we do not plan to introduce new cars, tracks, features, or regular bug fixes for Forza Motorsport. However, we will continue supporting the game by keeping online servers active, hosting special events and competitions, and reintroducing previously released Featured Tours and reward cars on a monthly basis, until all content is available for you to enjoy anytime.
We hope you continue racing with us on Forza Motorsport in 2026 – see you at the track!
This statement comes from their Year in Review for 2025 across both the Motorsport and Horizon franchises, sharing their favorite race events, photos, and car liveries made by the community in that year.
