The final presentation in the Xbox Direct was on Fable, a... reboot?... of the classic fantasy series by Playground Games, the same developers as the upcoming Forza Horizon 6. This new entry in the franchise is the first truly open world Fable game, and a lot of the things presented here reinforces that.
The game starts off during your childhood, when your magical powers awaken. Unfortunately, tragedy strikes when your home village, including your dear grandmother, are all turned to stone. This will likely prompt you to leave home and head into the world of Albion, a diverse world filled with all sorts of environments to explore.
The stream focused on the capital of Bowerstone, which include the returning Fairfax castle, Old Clock Tower, and the legendary Heroes Guild, led by guild master Humpry the Golden. There's also the city of Bloodstone, which houses the mysterious Cult of Shadows.
The game is very open in regard to your action and how you interact with the world. There are over 1000 NPCs in the game, each with their own life, and you can romance, marry, evict, befriend, or do 100 other things to during your play through. The game will feature renown and morality systems, but how each NPC sees you will depend on them. Not to mention you'll be able to buy houses, forge weapons, get a job, and lots and lots of other actions.
An example the devs game is Dave, a man who managed to turn himself into a giant. It's up to you how you deal with him, but killing him can result in his body covering a good amount of the map, resulting in less land to develop on. Oh, and his sister will hate you, I guess.
In terms of combat, the game has a light and heavy combo system for melee, ranged options to deal with flying enemies, and, of course, powerful magic spells. Returning enemies include hobbes, balverines, hollow folk, and trolls, as well as new creatures, like the cockatrice, a giant fire-breathing chicken.
Fable is expected to release in Autum this year on PC, Xbox and PlayStation. You can read more about the game in Xbox's official blog post, or by watching the live stream.
