A pair of opposites have taken the stand today. Shaman and Paladin, essentially cousin classes made to be opposite of each other, share the stage today. We're not even really joking about the "opposites of each other" remark. Paladins were originally an Alliance-exclusive class, and Shamans were a Horde-only class. It wasn't until The Burning Crusade that the ability to play as a Horde Paladin or Alliance Shaman was finally added to the game. When the game launched, they were also the only two classes that summoned minions from their Hero Powers, until Death Knight came and messed all of that up.
Oh yeah, and also Warrior is here too.
Colossals are back! When you summon a Colossal minion, it'll split up into multiple different appendages that have their own effects, and created one GIANT threat on the board.
Herald and Shatter are also two new keywords in Cataclysm. Herald cards build up the strength of your Colossal, by summoning a Soldier with the same ability as the appendages. Shatter cards split into two cards when they're added to your hand, going to the left and right-most spots in your hand, and merge back into one card when they're adjacent in your hand.
We've got all of the information about the set right here, and don't forget that as the first set of the year, there will also be a new Core set. You can found out about the new Core set right here, and there's also the ongoing Rally the Dragonflights event that you can sign up for to give every player some new cards.
We've got a collection of cards below for today.

Morchok - Its really not that great. Way too late game, doesnt do anything on board, and essentially its a zero mana 10/10 that can only be played on turn 10 and with zero control of what else comes after. So its not really mana cheat essentially, its more like a 10/10 freebie. A shame that its probably unplayable, because you have better things to do with your turn 10 i.e. play deathwing, and not this thing.
Al'Akir, Conduit of Storms - It has rush and windfury, and the odds are it'll have at least 6 attack most of the time so the card is solid. Kill two things, and get a bonus two big minions that cost 1. Well, thats it really. Its not exactly a very interesting card but it'll see play.
Ceremonial Clash - Honestly broken as fuck, and doomsayer is off core I think so its safe. Just casually put 3 minions on board for one card with nought but one overload cost. I mean, its definitely gonna see play, particularly since it also works well with alakir's soldiers.
Nozdormu, Bronze Aspect - On the face of it, its really not that impressive since theres a near zero chance of this triggering the +3 stats and the divine shield comes at the end of the turn. But with the support cards printed for paladin, this drastically scales in power, ensuring that if played correctly, youre gonna end your turn with a giant board of divine shielded minions.
Inspiring Maul - Easy potential to be busted as hell because of how it (presumably) works with chrono lord deios. But on its own, theres zero chance this doesnt see play, since the pletora of cards introduced in this expansion makes it too valuable a support card.
Sandfury Aura - Its lucky its not 2 mana, otherwise it'll see no play. Is it good enough though? Well, yea because it synergizes with just about all the other paladin cards, and crucially allows norzdormu to be a good card even if you dont have the maul equipped.
Torch - If it were not for the conditions it wouldve been a card you just put in all warrior decks but the requirement for the minion to be first damaged makes this card near worthless.
So shaman looks great, with a really solid gameplan, pally looks playable though we shall see how far that stretches, and warrior is warrior.
Very cool card. Unfortunately, it's probably not good enough. Compared to Agamaggan, you're most likely drawing at least two cards and you might discount multiple. However, you don't choose what you're discounting, and most crucially, you aren't dealing damage, which was kind of the only thing people were using Agamaggan for when they used him at all.
