Everything From Nintendo's March 3rd Indie World Direct

Published an hour ago by (Updated 46 minutes ago)

A new Nintendo presentation concluded earlier and... it's an Indie Showcase. Yeah, those tend to have already known titles, whether in the form of games that are already out on other platforms or simply updates to already confirmed ones, and not contain that many massive announcements. While most people were hoping for a proper Direct, there can still be some fun stuff in these Showcases.

We're going to have the name of the game, platform (including non-Nintendo ones), and release dates in the title. No date means we don't have one, and the game is coming out in the future. But enough yapping, and let's get into the games!

Denshattack! - Steam, PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 - June 17th

A fast-paced platformer where you play as a... tram cabin?! Jump, grind, and fight massive bosses as you try to get to the end of the level. The tram is customizable, so you can make it look however you like. Demo available.

My Little Puppy - Steam, Console

It is said that, when you die, your dog will be there to welcome you. My Little Puppy takes that premise, and puts you in the shoes of a doggy in the afterlife that felt the scent of their owner, and is now trying to get to them. Yes, you will cry.

Rotwood - Steam, Switch 2 - Out Now

From the creators of the Don't Starve games and Mark of the Ninja, comes a beat-em-up roguelike game with a colorful art-style. Team up with up to 4 other players and smash your way to victory!

The Midnight Walk - Switch 2 (March 26), Steam, PS5 (Out Now)

From the creators of Lost in Random comes a horror game with a unique aesthetic. Every character model in the game is hand-crafted in the real world before being scanned and transported to the digital world. The game is already available on PS5 and PC, both of which also have a VR mode.

Heave Ho 2 - Steam, Switch - Summer 2026

A co-op game of up to 4 players that's all about holding hands... tightly. You and your pals must work together to make it to the end of the level. Don't let go! Or everyone dies!

Woodo - Steam, Switch 1 & 2

A cozy puzzle game about making wooden dioramas. The 3D equivalent of a paint-by-the-numbers game, Woodo lets you explore the adventures of a frog and his fox buddy through a series of snapshots in their lives, all while you do things at your own pace.

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault - Steam, PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 (out in Early Access)

The sequel to the original Moonligher, this game adds a third dimension while keeping the existing formula: Run a shop of magical items by day, and go hunt down stock for said shop by night.

Blighted - Steam, Switch 2

From the creators of Guacamelee and Nobody Saves the World, comes a dark ARPG all about exploring a blighted (hehe) world and saving it. Traverse this spooky environment as you battle all sorts of monsters, gain loot, and become stronger.

Mixtape - PS5, Epic, Xbox Series, Steam, Switch 2 - May 7th

An emotional adventure game about your teenage years, and discovering who you are. Walk, skate and fly across your hometown as you figure out your identity.

Deadzone: Rogue - Switch 2 (March 17), Steam, Epic, PS5, Xbox Series (Out Now)

A roguelite FPS that you can tackle solo or with friends. Unlock elemental powers and mow down enemies before getting overwhelmed, then go at it again.

Minishoot’ Adventures - Switch 1&2, Steam (Out Today)

A metroidvania that sees things from up high. Literally. Explore the world while aboard a spaceship in a shoot-em-up style view. Bosses are certified bullet-hells, so be ready to avoid projectiles large and small.

Sizzle Reel!

A quick-fire presentation of games, as is tradition for Nintendo events. This video shows 6 games in various genres coming to the console.

Blue Prince - Steam, PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, Mac (Out Now)

Finally, we have 2025's most interesting puzzle game. Explore an ever-shifting manor, creating a new room whenever you go through an unexplored door, and discover its secrets in a timely manner to inherit it all. The Switch 2 version also has mouse support for you to interact with the puzzles.
