Chaos Rising is Mega Evolutions Next Expansion - See Four New Mega Evolutions

May 22! Get ready for the release of the next Mega Evolution expansion as it's coming in just over 2 months with pre-orders expected soon.

We've got handful of new Mega Evolution cards coming out, 11 illustration rares, 18 ultra rares, and six special illustration rare cards as a part of this set. Booster packs and an Elite Trainer Box has been confirmed so far.

Players who like to play digitally, you can get your hands on Chaos Rising one day early with its launch on Pokemon TCTG Live arriving on May 26, 2026. See below for images of the new products.

The Pokémon Company International announced today that a new expansion for the bestselling Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), Mega Evolution—Chaos Rising , will be available at participating retailers around the world beginning May 22, 2026.

In Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Chaos Rising , Trainers will discover Mega Floette ex wreaking havoc as night falls in Lumiose City. Players can leverage Mega Greninja ex and other powerful Pokémon, including Mega Pyroar ex and Mega Dragalge ex, to ward off this dangerous threat.

In addition, Trainers can look forward to discovering more Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, appearing as ultra rare cards that feature silhouettes of their original forms in the artwork.

Noteworthy cards from this expansion include:

• Five Mega Evolution Pokémon ex

• Five Pokémon ex

• 11 illustration rare Pokémon

• 18 ultra rare Pokémon and Trainer cards 

• Six special illustration rare Pokémon and Supporter cards

Players can find Mega Evolution—Chaos Rising in booster packs, Elite Trainer Boxes and various collections at participating retailers worldwide.

Pokémon TCG players will have the opportunity to play with Mega Evolution—Chaos Rising before launch by attending one of the many Prerelease tournaments held as part of the Play! Pokémon program, taking place beginning May 9, 2026, at participating independent retailers .

Ahead of the release of the tabletop version, players will be able to play with Mega Evolution—Chaos Rising starting May 21, 2026, in Pokémon TCG Live for iOS, Android, macOS and Windows devices. Players can collect and battle with new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex and receive in-game bonuses when logging in to the game.
