Bad news for those looking to get into the PlayStation ecosystem. Due to... stuff happening in the world, Sony's entire line-up of consoles is about to receive a price increase. In short, we're looking at an extra 100 USD for each of the base PS5 (both disk and digital), and 150 USD for the Pro model. The Portal isn't getting spared, getting 50 USD tacked on. Prices are slated to go up on April 2nd. See the quote below for exact regional pricing.

This might be the most expensive console generation to date. Normally, up to this point in a console's lifecycle, we'd get a refresh that's cheaper than the original. Instead, prices for both Sony and Microsoft have only gone up. And you can't entirely blame either company for the increase this time. At least the Dualsense and PSVR2 are staying the same.

What do you think of these price changes? Are you gonna get the consoles at the new prices, or do you already have one? Let us know in the comments below!
