Lego 2K Drive Will Be Delisted From Digital Storefronts on May 19

Exactly 3 years (give or take) after its initial release date on May 18 2023, Lego 2K Drive will be delisted from all digital storefronts on May 19 2026. I haven't played it myself, but the scores appear to be a bit of a mixed bag, but I've seen some passionate fans of the game nonetheless.

If you were planning on buying the game, you don't have long before your chance to buy it goes away, most likely forever. Despite the Stop Killing Games movement seeing support by the European Parliament last month, change does not happen overnight and it seems that this game will become yet another victim of the corrupted loop of digital distribution. A problem with all digital games, but especially prevalent with licensing, which this game would've had from the Lego company. Sadly, this will likely be an uphill battle we will be fighting until the end of time.

The game is buyable on Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and Epic. Unfortunately, the game does not appear to be going on sale, so you will have to pay full price for the game during its dying period.

A small amount of light is that the online functionality will remain active until May 31 2027, so if you have some friends you'd like to play the game with, you still have a year of fun to be had. None of the achievements seem to be tied to online play either (although as someone who doesn't own the game, this assumption is purely based on the descriptions).

Have you played Lego 2K Drive and do you have any fond memories of it?
