Six Games That Were Only in the Japanese Version of Today's Nintendo Direct

Published 2 hours ago by

Today's Nintendo Direct was pretty wild, right? It was, but little did we know that the version of the Direct we were watching at the time (and perhaps you were too) was not the complete package, because a total of six games were featured on the Japanese version of the Direct that didn't get a good spotlight in the American version.

Two such games appeared briefly in the sizzle reel, whereas the remaining four were entirely absent altogether. Because the trailers only appeared in the Japanese version of the Direct, they will naturally be spoken in Japanese. There are no official subtitles for them other than the ones automatically generated by YouTube.

We can't know for sure at the moment, but we would assume that if the game didn't appear in the sizzle reel, it either isn't releasing outside of Japan, or a version releasing outside of Japan is not ready to be shown yet.

Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & The Guide of memories

Developer(s): Gust

Could you make the name any longer next time? You might've also noticed this one during the sizzle reel, which lead me to believe that it was an old game that was getting a re-release. Nope. It's a brand new game altogether.

Unfortunately, there's not that many details to go off of other than the trailer.
