Great news for fans of hack-and-slash games, raunchy humour, and/or Suda51: The No More Heroes games are now available on GOG! These games put in the role of Travis Touchdown, who's on a mission to climb up the leaderboard of the world's greatest assassins with his trusty beam-katana (AKA legally distinct lightsabre).
The first game was released on the Wii in 2007, and made use of the Wii motion controls for its gameplay, though (un)fortunately, the PC version just uses the analogue sticks. The sequel, subtitled Desperate Struggles, was released on the same platform in 2010, with No More Heroes III only arriving in 2021 as a Switch exclusive for a while, which also got the first two games the previous years.
All the games were available on PC by 2022, and they've now come to GOG with a very deep discount. Here's a quick breakdown (prices in USD, check your local currency):
No More Heroes: $10.95/50% off
No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle: $10.95/50% off
No More Heroes III:
$15.35/65% off for Standard Edition
$16.45/70% off for Deluxe Edition (includes soundtrack, art book)
No More Heroes 1-3 bundle: $3015/57% off
This deal is available until the 9th of July, when the GOG Summer Sale ends. If you're subscribed to GOG's newsletter, check your e-mail, you might get another 5% or so on those games for about 48 hours.
