007 First Light Hits 4 Million Sales in Three Months - Year One Roadmap Detailed

IO Interactive has announced that 007 First Light has surpassed 4 million units sold in its first three months on the market, and that's some seriously impressive spy work. The reimagined James Bond origin story from the HITMAN studio is now officially one of 2026's fastest-selling games, and to celebrate, IOI is handing players its first-ever discount.

For the next two weeks, through September 15, 007 First Light is 20% off.

What's coming in the Year One roadmap?

IO Interactive says it will keep expanding 007 First Light throughout Year One with regular Tactical Simulation updates across a set of iconic locations, plus a healthy stack of new content. Here's what's on the way:

  • Tactical Simulation updates across iconic locations, including Kensington's Workshop, Slovakia's mountain slopes, Mauritania's black market, and Vietnam's luxury resort, The Pearl

  • New gadgets and weapons

  • New cosmetics

  • Leaderboard challenges

  • An exploration of New Game+ for added replayability

Patch 1.1.1

A few days ago, Patch 1.1.1 dropped with a couple of crash fixes and an unlock issue with achievements being solved.

Quote From First Light

Stability Improvements
PC: Black Screen at Launch
Addressed an issue where the title would not launch on some PCs, resulting in a black screen followed by a client crash.

Advanced Training Crash
Fixed a rare issue that could cause a crash after entering the Advanced Training in Malta and pausing the game during it.

Achievements & Challenges
Achievements Unlock Issues
Introduced a series of backend improvements and fixes to the game’s online systems to address the achievement-related issues reported by the community. This includes improvements to the achievements' unlock logic across all platforms.

Where can you play 007 First Light?

007 First Light is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, on Amazon.com, and for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as at key retailers. A Nintendo Switch 2 version will follow later in 2026.

The game comes in Standard, Deluxe, Collector's, and Legacy Editions, with more details available on the official IO Interactive site.

It's great to see IOI's take on Bond landing so strongly - and with a full year of updates on the horizon, there's plenty of reason to keep that license to kill active. Are you one of the 4 million agents already in the field?
