I'd like to give this 5 stars, but its the sort of card that has potential for backfiring when you've run out of undead minions, and if your opponent simply doesn't kill any of your undead board (i.e. freeze, transform, ignore etc.) then this card is just sort of rubbish really.
Maybe undead shadow aggro priest is the best fit, because in control you'll need to contrive a few undead minions and its really not worth the bother in my opinion.
If priest can reliably play and kill their undead minions, this draw spell is great. It will be more difficult for priest to achieve this than DK though and this spell will only be used in the priest undead archetype coz shadow priest will find better things. If priest get more undead minions in future expansions, this spell will always be considered but atm, not feeling confident in the number of undead minions priest has access to (and you can't reliably play thief cards in the hopes of getting an undead from your opponent).
I guess the new policy for making decks work is jsut giving them Arcane Intellect on roids.
Probably encourages multiple Priest decks to run some undead.
Also enables Shadow Priest to be less aggro now that they no longer run out of gas instantly.
Drawing with a discount seems pretty interesting, still having some reserves about Undead-Priest being viable, but at least this gives reason to experiment with the archetypes. Even if not great, this should allow deck-cycling and possibly not running out of steam?
Why isn't the base cost 3, like Arcane Intellect? I'm sure killing your undead minions will be easy enough that this will rarely matter, and at 1 mana, drawing two cards is pretty damn strong.
5 Star card for only 1 reason: "Draw 2 cards" in priest. And the undead thing is very easy for priests, because priests have a LOT of undead minions. Must-include in all priest decks.
Besides being used in Rager Priest, remember that Spirit Guide does have the Undead tag now, and can tutor it off of his deathrattle. If nothing else, makes control Priest decks a bit more consistent.
I think priest has better ways to draw cards, but maybe they'll start playing around with more Undead minions. We'll see!
