  • Decent minion. Could see it in Libram Paladin, but I'm not sure any deck actually needs this.

  • isn't this card just overstated? 4/6 taunt for 4?

some dragon decks are running the big fairy dragon so this might replace that.

  • Pretty decent minion.  I think it has the most likelihood of seeing play in Priest or Paladin since they can buff it further, have dragon synergy, and have good minions to hide behind it.

  • 4 mana 4/6 taunt is a nice statline, but enabling spellburst on curve will be quite demanding.

As it stands, I think that this card will often only be consistently taunt-able on turns when a boardclear or a stronger taunt could be played.

Idk this looks like a dragon highlander hunter staple card but we will see.

  • On par with Twilight Guardian.  That card only requires you to hold a dragon though instead of committing more resources to it.  Priest will want this card if more copies of it can be spawned.  Otherwise, I think it will be mediocre.

  • It is a dragon, and that is something. After spellburst it becomes straight up better than the Yeti, and that is also something. I think this card might see play in a deck that wants dragons, or a deck very desperate for a 4-drop. However, usually after turn 3, just having stats isn't enough.

  • Pretty decent card in any spell based deck, which they've been pushing this set. I'd say it has a pretty decent chance of seeing play.

  • Its a 3/6 for 4. Almost certainly going to survive on curve, and if spellbursted, it becomes a nasty taunt minion.

Paladin, priest and maybe warrior can make full use of it. Its a dragon too, so maybe in hunter? but dragon hunter doesn't always have the means to trigger the spellburst.

  • Good card overall and it also is a Dragon ! I guess this works good in Libram Paladin but i guess this will also find it's way in lots of different decks not only because it is a dragon but 4 Mana 4/6 Taunt is pretty good.

  • So it has like semi taunt? Still I think a 5 mana taunt is just better.

  • Decent minion, potentally strong arena card. Maybe for some budget anti-aggro tools, it can work.

  • Good minion for libram paladin, but also good in dragon priest. this is actually Twilight Guardian with +1 atk. This will certainly see play.

  • Solid card! Good stats without buffing it, but then you can activate the buff right away or on a later turn.

  • 3/6 dragon on 4 is pretty good tempo, not to mention it's a good follow up to Stormhammer. Increasing that followup consistency for the weapon without sacrificing curve is deceptively powerful in Highlander Hunter. The spellburst is a nice addition, especially since Hunter is getting cheap spells like Demon Companion and Adorable Infestation. I don't think this sees play outside of Highlander Hunter because this seems only good in dragon decks that care about playing dragons for tempo and the statline might be too slow for Dragon Hunter.

  • So many good cards are being introduced in this expansion. And nothing is rotating. I doubt this will find a spot in any deck.

  • Decent minion but this need his spellburst to be ok and that slow down the card. Avarage for standard probably

  • Packfiller... not bad, but there are better things

  • Nice defensive tool

  • Its one of the few decent Spellburst cards with good stats and a upside.

  • The brings back memories of Twilight Guardian and Wyrmrest Agent. Both were great in Dragon Priest.

I still think it has an interesting concept and design - some packfiller were historically text/effect-less - and having a tribe tag makes it quite good. Bonus, it has a great flavor : " Has a real passion for spelling. " ^^

  • Mage and Priest and Warlock gets some early taunt

  • seems alright, but I still prefear Bone Wraith

  • Could be good-just by the stats, but I think most people would rather run an interesting card.

  • Could be good, but not an auto-include in any deck.

  • Dragon decks could use a 4-mana beefy taunt.

Interesting because it's one of the rare (if not only) spellburst minions where you don't actually have to trigger the spellburst immediately and it's fine. Still, "fine" usually doesn't see play, maybe only in some dragon decks. Maybe.

    • Ok I'll let you change my mind! Nice flavour text btw!

  • A good anti aggro priest card.

  • So 4 mana 3/6 is good for stats, it's not as aggressively powerful as a chillwind Yeti but can take more hits.

If I understand the spellburst effect correctly, this will only have +1 and taunt if you activate it's spellburst effect, and spellbursts are only good until your next turn. So to keep this minion as a 4/6 with Taunt you'll need to cast 1 spell a turn while it's out on the field, otherwise your opponent will be able to ignore it and go face.

In arena this minion is acceptable, but I feel that the classes all have better 4 mana options to play than this minion

  • It's like a worse Twilight Guardian. I don't see it being played over Bone Wraith or any other mid-game neutral taunt.

  • average in spell dmg decks i guess

  • Obvious comparison to Twilight Guardian as others have pointed out, but probably better?

I'm not sure if it is actually better, but it seems like it should be just because the stats are better and the conditional is easier to meet.

Regardless, experimentation will be the only way we can tell.

  • Doubt it’ll see much play, slow for a taunt minion, and it’s not that threatening on its own

  • If you can reliably spellburst it, its overstated for the cost. The dragon tag always help. Not game breaking, but possible in some standard decks. Bad topdeck however.

  • Playable, nothing more

  • Great for defense. I like it.

  • It can be a strong card on a deck like libram/dragon paladin, with some of the year of the dragon synergies

  • Not too bad!  Not great, but not bad...

    4 mana 4/6 taunt dragon.

    Fits on every dragon deck.

  • Nice defensive tool for dragon decks

    • Well, I know that dragons-related minions that can develop taunt like Twilight Guardian or Wyrmrest Agent can be really annoying to play against, so perhaps this has a shot as well.

  • Strong arena card, but hard to see how it'd be used in constructed.

  • Good stat-line, and like the reveal stream showed, this sort of has Taunt without actually having it. If your opponent doesn't remove this already beefy minion it'll become even more annoying the next turn.

  • Dragon decks used to really like Twilight Guardian, which this is comparable to. I think this could find a home in Dragon Mage or Dragon Priest.
