Guess who's back
back again
(in spirit at least, this isn't nearly as broken as Flamewaker, but I guess that's a plus)
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Finds a guaranteed home in tempo mage and a possible home in highlander since this can be a pretty efficient clear.
At least it only hits minions, I don't know, I don't think this will see play in constructed.
A flamewaker that only triggers twice is probably not worth running. The card might see play in secret mage, but I think the spellburst is a little too tricky to consistently achieve there.
This post is discussing the wild format.
Flamewaker with +1 attack and only 2 procs instead of infinite potential.. this card will see play.. tempo mage is back!
Reno the Relicologist was 6 mana deal 10, if singleton, i can 100% see this seeing some kind of play, since mage right now runs a bunch of cheap crap anyway.
Living like that.
3 mana 3/4 is an amazing stat-line. But the effect just drives this through the roof. [Hearthstone Card (Goblin Blastmaster) Not Found] made Mech Mage a thing almost by itself, this is both cheaper and easier to pull off. I imagine I am going to be sick and tired of seeing this card for a long time.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
Will without a shadow of doubt see a lot of play in tempo mage, or even in cyclone mage.
4/5 stars
tempo mage hype
Good stats for it's cost, and it basicly has taunt early game. Great card and not incredibly broken like Flamewaker. Helps clear the board and mage has PLENTY of cheap 1 cost spells, or spells that discover those cheap spells. Will see play in control & highlander mage. Maybe also burn/tempo mage so they can take the board in the early game?
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Balanced Flamewaker.
It's a bit weird to compare it to its BRM counterpart since that card was pretty stupid powerful. It's obviously not quite as good as Flamewaker, but it still seems fairly decent.
Its Goblin Blastmage, which was one of the strongest cards back in the day.
Mage never lacks spells, but 3 mana is a lot to give up. In tempo mage, and little else. But it will still be the cherry on that cake.
Aaah yea, Dyn-o-matic for mages, but better.
What's the most powerful card in Hearthstone?
A credit card.
Good card.
Nice stats for 3 Mana and the ability is decent enough that this finds play. At least in some sort of Tempo Mage i guess!
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
I hope this opens up another archetype from mage outside of HL.
Liked playing mech mage back in the day.
Idk but somehow i feel that this is not that strong despite the good stats at 3 mana, could only hold off aggro for a turn maybe.
That's nice anti-aggro tool for tempooriented spell mage decks. And not broken as the Flamewalker. Should be really good.

Significantly worse Flamewaker. Sure, you get +1 attack and twice the damage on first spell, but what made that card so nasty was the ability to just fire again and again and again, and to hit the face too. This, however, is playable.

Spider Tank Stats are always nice. 4 Health on T3 should be enough (most of the Time) to make it to the next Turn and have the Effect go off.

Flamewaker was combo aggressive, this is consistently defensive.
I wouldn't say it's a weaker flamewaker, just a different one.
Flamewaker is back...with a different purpose. This card can be strong in early game to stop any aggression and late game to remove some minion. It will see a lot of play imho
It's a good control card. Not as flamewaker but still
Can you hear It? Is Highlander mage orgasming
By The Holy Light!
Mage won't play much for the board nowadays, but could use a mini Reno. Triggering it won't be much of a problem.
Not as good as his wild brother
Lemushki - The one and only since the 2006 rebranding.
It ain't Flamewaker, but still seems pretty good otherwise.
Finally after years ... Flamewaker made balanced
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Really strong for Mage to survive vs Aggro!
"My winged children fill the skies."

"Who knows what secrets we'll uncover?"
"The stars align!"
"The stars align!"
Basically a different version of flamewaker in how to play this card. Where flamewaker was used as a combo card you use this card to defensively clear some minions kinda like Reno the Relicologist except weaker.
Nice stats
-=alfi=-
Will probably fight with Imprisoned Observer for a slot in Standard Highlander lists. If Tempo Mage becomes a thing again, this surely makes the cut in those decks as well.
Looks more consistent than Flamewaker for board control, but I’m not sure if that is enough to secure a spot in the highlander deck right now.
Great anti aggro card, but I'm not sure how strong this will be against slower decks.
It's a decent early play even if you do face a slower deck. A 3 mana 3/4 is nothing to sneeze at.
Nice stats and nice effect, not too reliable but it doesn't hurt you
All hail the banshee queen.
Amazing card for Tempo Mage. Even though it does not damage face it's a great board control tool.
This is a very good mage minion.
It's a slightly stronger but slower Flamewaker, and I'll explain that.
Flamewaker was a modest 2/4 for 3 mana that would deal 2 damage split across ALL enemies (players and minions) whenever a spell was played, and was used in the infamous aggro mage to clear your opponents board and deal massive damage to your opponent by playing spells being discounted by Sorcerer's Apprentice, allowing you to push lethal against your opponent.
The Firebrand is an impressive 3/4 for 3 mana, that deals 4 damage across all enemy minions, specifically. This is what I mean by "Slower", becase Firebrands ability won't target your opponent, they're life isn't affected directly by his ability. However, because his ability is now minions ONLY, it's consistent, and therefore stronger.
This minion will be able to shred enemy tokens that are mere 1/1s, or be able to remove a single enemy minion with 4 health left, whether they have stealth or not - allowing you to save that AOE for a large board.
It's very strong, I suspect it will be apart of a new aggro mage, or possibly find it's home in the highlander deck Mages have adopted as their legend climbing deck
In another class, this is probably an auto-include in most lists because of the stats and dangerous effect. However, in Mage, I'm not sure they want to be running a minion with an effect that can be covered by one of their strong spells.
Perhaps I'm wrong, but I don't think this will make it past the experimentation phase of the expansion.
Balanced Flamewaker. Still really strong. Great card.
I think Highlander Mage would love this early body on the board that also acts as removal. They have Ray of Frost and are getting cards like Devolving Missiles and Wandmaker to make this more consistent. Highlander Mage needs the early removal and Firebrand looks to fit that purpose well.
For glory, honor, and gold!
It’s alright, but nowhere near as good as Flamewaker
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
Flamewalker and Firebrand massive board damage. All it takes is a 0 cost spell.
Is spell damage mage going to be an actual thing finally? :D
Thanks to denial, I'm immortal.
Flamewaker cousisn maybe will be included in some wild decks for
The tougher cousin to Flamewaker, sadly this is just a one time effect, but it's still a good effect.
It's a good card. I always like when we get interesting call backs to old cards, and this is one of those for sure.
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
I see this more as a control card than a tempo one. Flamewaker was so good because of the chip damage that it could generate. This serves more as a mini - Reno the Relicologist, albeit one you can hold onto on the board until you need the effect. I really like Spellburst being used in this way, as something that you may want to hold on to until it is optimal, rather than trigger it immediately.
Less situational than Flamewaker coz it only needs one spell compared to lots of tiny spells. Has versatility to slot into any tempo, control or highlander decks. Also a great discover for spell only mage.
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
This minion is nowhere near on the level of the card it's invoking. I would have given it it's own identity, honestly, since the two just can't compare.

Had it been a Flamewaker that couldn't go face i would have thought it was great. This being a spellburst effect makes it a no for me.
Flamewaker with better stats but less longevity on its effect. Can still be useful to counter aggro decks in earlier turns.
I like that this focuses minions, it means you can be much more sure of the outcome and maximise the damage appropriately.
