As someone who has never played LoL and has never seen the artwork from that game, this seems fine to me. I think a lot of people are confusing "not what I'm used to" with "bad."
As for the mechanical aspects of the Champion ... omg. So powerful, unique, and easy to level up. She'll be able to fit into all kinds of different archetypes. Even if you have to hold her until she levels up, she's worth it.
Granting a small costed challenger unit 4-4 is gonna be pretty nice, granting barrier or vulnerable is really flexible.
I think i read that you don't have to have Lulu in play to lvl her up which is also a good feature.
It's an interesting card. First off: Lulu will be arguably the easiest champion to level up, but her on-board stats are fairly weak. I think she trades unfavorably with every other 3-drop in the game, so do you play her and try to preserve her or try to wait until after she's leveled? I think the former, because her support benefit will have most value early-game using smaller units and fade off as bigger and bigger units are played on both sides (remember that the stats are flat and not relative like most buffs). However once she does level, the fleeting Help, Pix! will effectively let you either assassinate any enemy unit or protect any allied unit for 1 mana every turn.
As a side note: in the video, their paired her with Demacia so that she could buff Fleetfeather Tracker, allowing it to challenge/kill/survive the sole opposing unit and Lulu to attack with impunity.
It depends on the match-up, surely. I would never keep her in the mulligan against aggro, but if the opponent is slower, I might.
If you hold her until she flips, she becomes much harder to kill and therefore much more consistent. Her utility in the late game comes more from Help, Pix! than from her direct Support ability. Having reliable access to Barrier/Vulnerable can be a pretty big deal as the units on both sides get bigger, but the support buff is still nice for when you inevitably top-deck a 1-drop.
Good card. VERY easy to lvl up.
Playable for sure, but we don't have that kind of Ionia deck yet, so it will be a brand new deck style.
I never apologize… I’m sorry but that’s the way I am.
