For this card to be good enough to play you will need to get it to at least 7/7. Not hard to do for a control deck. However, I am not sure if this will be played over of cards like Khartut Defender or Convincing Infiltrator simply because it isn't a good resurrect target.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
It's kinda weird to see Priest getting Mech minion out of nowhere. Is this the start of a new meta for Priest?
Knowledge is Power
Not really seeing how this can go into any existing priest deck. I think most control decks would rather have a deathrattle effect than strong stats on a taunt minion, even though this minion can be very large in the right circumstances.
This post is discussing the wild format.
As someone who's been jamming control priest in standard a ton recently, definitely can see this card being a very large taunt without much hassle. Issue is just that why would you want to run a taunt like this when the deck cannot really utilize it well. Maybe just as a tool to stonewall out aggressive stuff? I don't know, just feels kinda pointless to me when they can just run stuff that synergies with the deck more.
Cardboard wizard and dog haver.
In standard: Alright, so we got a 5 mana minion, that will probably be around 6/6 or 7/7 stats when played around turn 5. Also it's a mech, which is weird to see in a priest deck. HOWEVER that's a good thing for control priest, as this gives them an additional minion to ress with targetted ress cards like N'Zoth, God of the Deep. However despite that, it's still a bad minion to pull with normal ress cards like [Hearthstone Card (Mass Ressurection) Not Found]. Which is good, cause **** single-player ress priests.
In wild: This card won't see any play. There are way better cards there like Convincing Infiltrator, and most priest decks are either Reno priest, quest (the deathrattle quest) priest or ress/big priest. The only notable synergy it has is that late game you can magnetize Zilliax onto it for a bigger minion. But that combo seems best in a more control priest kinda deck that doesn't ress, which will see no play as there are better options honestly.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
You don’t run this card, you generate it from Galakrond and get a 5 mana 8/8 with taunt quite regularly
This ain't no place for a hero
These types of effects very rarely see play, and I see little reason to believe that this one in particular will be different.
At least while Convincing Infiltrator is in Standard, that card is just much better in almost every way.
This card has a potential to grow in size a lot, but it cant fit into every deck imho and turn 5 might be too late vs aggro. Look good at first, but might end up not doing so well.

I don't think this will see any play in standard. It might see some experimentation in some meme wild priest decks because of Zilliax and SN1P-SN4P. But there's no support left for mechs in standard, this isn't a good resurrection target and committing a 5 mana slot (which is completely overcrowded for this class) for a slightly bigger than average taunt that can easily be silenced, removed or completely ignored by a Kayn Sunfury isn't a good deal. It requires at least three spells to be playable and even then it only surpasses Faceless Lurker in utility. Totally not worth it even with the new N'Zoth card.
"True mastery takes dedication."
Pretty weak overall. I can’t see many priest decks running this because you need a few spells for it to be good, and are priests really wanting to risk summoning a 3/3 mech with their res effects
At first glance it's weak, almost feels like a nerf to Galakrond. But if you play priest and use to have at least 3-4 spells in hand... Throw this in and see what happens.
If you are running highlander or a control deck this can be a good card..
we need to take notice of different tags of minions for N'zoth.
Feels a little weak in general.
To get vanilla value out of this, you need at least 2 spells on hand for a 5 mana 5/5 with taunt.
Void Drinker feels more powerful than this and that doesn't see play.
The problem is not that its weak. You can generally get this to a decent 5/5 taunt no problem, easily 6/6 taunt for 5 which is already above par. The real problem is why would priest ever play something like this? Tempo priest needs early game, and spell priest would prefer to play [Hearthstone Card (cobalt spelkin) Not Found] on 5.
If the idea is that you can easily get it to a 10/10 for 5, its still just a minion that is easily removed by the myriad of removals around from Sap to just being silenced.
Just galakrond fodder, honestly, and its not even a very good one.
Can be a 12/12 taunt for 5 at the most. That is insane value, but getting it so big is really unlikely. I think it's playable.

Good point - it is probably playable, but won't consistently uses its full potentia
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Unless Blizz reveals some good synergy cards with mechs/taunts/battlecry, that card will not see play, atleast until year rotation.
By The Holy Light!
At least until next expansion and Galakrond rotates.
Another card that is leading us Control Players to like this set. In this heavy aggro meta, cards like this could spell the return of some control.
Pushing spell priest maybe?
All you're doing it telling your opponent how many spells you have in hand. Absolute rubbish
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Interesting concept but why would anyone run this?

Unless the Mech tag will be relevant (which I doubt, the expansion is not about Mechs), I believe this card won't see much play. Even in spell generating decks, priests will prefer Cobalt Spellkin on 5.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
Don't think this will ever be run while Convincing Infiltrator is still around. It's too expensive and conditional to make the cut in most lists, but might be strong in a dedicated deck. Whether a dedicated spell priest is strong enough, we'll have to wait and see.
Why did I think it only said +1 Health? It's much better than I thought. I reckon it will almost always have above average stats, but whether it will have a spot in the current Priest lists is uncertain.
You probably need three or more spells in hand to make this decent. While I generally love Spell Priest archetypes, and it seems that's a big part of what they're pushing for Priest this go-around, Fortune Teller specifically is a hard sell for me because this kind of effect requires card draw to be consistent, and that's something Priest lacks significantly. Maybe there's something else in the set that makes this work, but so far I'm not sold.
this could be good in a spell preist with allurah and ohh my theory crafting juices are flowing with this card
TOTAL CORRUPTION
TOTAL POWAAAAAAA
Eh looks useless to me I dont really see a 5 mana 3/3 working even if it does get big sometimes you'll spend a whole turn just for it to be shanked by a silence
Self proclaimed good at battlegrounds
This card basically checks itself as holding spells in hand is characteristic of Control Priest, but control decks don't care that much about stat payoffs. Convincing Infiltrator fits the slot more consistently if you're looking for a 5-mana taunt.
For glory, honor, and gold!
I got this in a bucket in duels and it was usually a 5 mana 6/6 or 7/7 when i played it on curve, of course i played suboptimally not using spells when i should to make it that way but it's a thing. Won't be played in constructed though.
Living like that.
I think it's just not good enough. Even a 5 mana 6-6 or 7-7 is just not worth holding onto all those spells for because that means you're not playing them in earlier turns to help survive.

Trash card, moving on... nothing to see here ;-)
Not sure how i feel about this one. You need 3 spells to get value off of it, which doesn't seem like that much of an ask, however, it has anti synergy with big/resurrect priest. Will see play if a "spell" priest style of deck does.
Not bad, it's nice to see a priest mech again.
Combo decks or ones heavy on spells for priest might have play for this as you only need 2 spells to be a 5 mana 5/5
All hail the banshee queen.
Way too low in the current game.
Way too expensive and too slow to be playable outside of very fringe meme decks.
Can work fine in wild with mechanic stuff but for standard seems to be born out of time. It didn't predict pretty well when it should hit meta.
Xbox gamertag - Psymonjet
I'm not sure if even Priest holds on to that many spells in hand for this card to be worth being a pile of stats.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
For the longest time I thought this was a fucking frog. Like, the little tassels were its front legs raised in a gesture of mysticism, and it was standing on a sort of rock or something with the crystal ball in front of it. I glossed over the Mech tag and assumed it read Beast.
I don't know, I have nothing to say about the card, that's all I can think about.
Welcome to the site!
I hate it on gender principle: priest taunt. Boo.
Chumbawumba is the worst band name.
Doesn't seem like much, but in things like Galakrond decks it has the potential to scale very quickly
Blizzard going heavy on the Spells-centric Priest deck, but I don't see any reason that deck would want to run a sometimes big Taunt that costs 5.
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
So Priest will often have a decent number of spells in hand, but I feel llike this is a clunky activation effect. I don't know if it is strong enough and consistent enough to fit in the Priest's game plan.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
