Does Jarvan IV can use spell mana with his ability?

    • If you mean can you spend spell mana to pay to summon him onto the board during an attack, I very much doubt it.

  • Penitent Squire is Cithria of Cloudfield with an effect. Thought at first this was maybe powercreep, but she does lack the Elite tag.

  • Demacian General: When do we start our attack Prince Jarvan?

    JarvanIV: Yes!

  • So is Jarvan III the Crown that Garen's family is Guarding? Though, judging by the replies, they didn't do a great job.

    • I mean you can't do a perfect job when there is another group that wants to make that job harder. Especially when that other group employs Demons, Zombies and Illusion Mages.

  • For anyone like me wondering about Gallant Rider: the unit he transforms into is that 5|5 tough that nobody maindecks. It will be interesting to see if he carries damage over through the transformation; a 4-cost 4|4 that occasionally becomes a 5|5 is pretty underwhelming but if he resets his health you're effectively getting like a Grizzled Ranger effect with a few extra hoops in exchange for much better stats.

    • That is actually quite interesting.

      T4: block and survive
T5. challenge, reset health, gain toughness, extra attack + health and win another trade.

Seems pretty good. It will require that he can get challenger consistently.

  • Small side question, whatever ever happened with the whole theory about Jarvan IV being Leblanc in disguise? Did that ever get debunked? Surely she isn't pretending to be him as he cleaves through Noxian soldiers. Not only would that seem to really harm the plans of her own nation, but I feel a little Noxian aristocrat might have issues mimicking his combat style.

    • Didn't even know that was a theory. I guess I'm still too new to the lore. However, the flavor text or King Jarvan III is very interesting:

"What, pray tell, would a father sacrifice to save his son? Better yet, what would a king?" - LeBlanc

      • Yeah a lot of people believe that Jarvan was killed or captured in secret and LeBlanc took up the role of pretending to be him so that she could steer Demacia to ruin.

  • With Jarvan III, Maybe they will release Sion as well as his maw is actually J3 crown

edit: It was actually J1 crown

    • Well, the voice lines for the champions got leaked. Since it got Jarvan right, it seems to be trustworthy.

The Noxus champion seems to be LeBlanc.

Why? tho, Sion wasn't the one who killed Jarvan 3.

I believe he did. They both died in a battle against one another...at least that is how I recall it but I could be wrong....then they revived Sion and gave him that crown as his jaw in some sort of sick mockery of Demacia's past ruler

        • He didn't, Sion did kill a Demacian king but that wasn't Jarvan 3. Jarvan 3 was killed during Sylas rebellion and the identity of his killer is still a mystery. Sion died a long time before that.

          • Huh, well thank you for clearing that up. I mean I think the Noxian intention was still there with the use for the crown, but that does seem a little strange that they have the crown of Jarvan III if that is the case.

            • that was my mistake, its J1 crown that he uses, not J3

              • Ah. Clearly I'm not too familiar with Sion's background myself so its fine. It happens to the best of us. XD

                • It's no big deal League of legends lore keeps getting updates and rewrites, so it can get pretty confusing.
