Pirate Stealth Rogue incoming
Really annoying card, 1 mana disrupt tool are crazy, and Rogue have good sinergies with both stealth and pirates, so doesn't care about getting his own Minion transformed too.
By The Holy Light!
More hand distruption. If somehow it also benefits you it might be useable, but idk what type of rogue deck would be looking for stuff like this. I mean look at Shenanigans, that card has a ton of support with secrets, is similar to this and yet still sees zero play.
D-d-don't touch that!
Nobody's gonna actually run it, but Rogue will somehow still discover it and then ruin your day with it.
There is no point to this other than being a meme.
At least Demonic Project was put into a control class.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Rogue's own gameplan is usually too important to care about their opponent's gameplan. And as getting a random pirate or stealth minion is of no use to them this card seems pretty useless. I doubt this will even be run when you can consistently get the transform effect on a token instead of a minion you actually put into your deck.
Arena > Wild > Standard
Demonic Project isn't good, and I don't see how putting it in a class even less able to use it will be either. Unlike Dirty Rat and other disrupting minions that give you a card in play as well as the effect, this card does nothing but lose you card advantage.
This post is discussing the wild format.
Hmm this seems... interesting. On the one side it's Rogue, which is more of an aggro/midrange class. But on the other side if your playing some kind of slower rogue deck, maybe it makes sense? If you see a big treath you can Sap it, and *with some luck* get rid of it with Savory Deviate Delight. The only time i see this seeing play is if the meta SLOWS DOWN a lot, which is NEVER happening with all the powercreep FACE decks keep getting. (*Cries in Control Player)
Oh and the most interesting thing is obviously the pirate part. Has anyone seen the pirate pool in standard? It's ONLY 2 MINIONS! Southsea Captain AND Circus Amalgam! This means 2 thing: You and your opponent are VERY likely to get a stealth minion, and were probably getting Pirate rogue support in the future! This is some nice foreshadowing if were actually getting more pirates in rogue! (Completly messed up this part, apologies!)
The only deck in standard that MIGHT use it is of course Stealth Rogue, which probably won't mind getting an stealth minion and disrupting their opponent. Worst case scenario you get a pirate/amalgam, and you probably wont mind rerolling a Sneaky Delinquent token from the deathrattle into another minion and disrupting your opponent in the progress.
In wild it might see some play? Pirate/Kingsbane rogue might experiment with it, and worst case scenario it's a tech card against OTKs. This is an easier way of dealing with those OTK decks, considering Dirty Rat requires you to kill the minion immidiatly. Oh and it's probably also good against Raza Priest and Big Priest. Actually in wild it might be a pretty good tech card! And it's 1 mana, so maybe ODD Rogue might try it out? Probably not considering they just aim FACE.
Edit: As Tumbleweedovski mentioned to me, i completely forgot it's ALL pirates not just neutral/rogue ones. And i forgot to click on the rogue icon when looking up all the pirates, so i also messed that up. My bad! :)
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
All pirates in standard
Arena > Wild > Standard
The thing about secrets is that it's too slow for todays meta. Paladin and Hunter are very strong early game, and when are you playing 2 mana do nothing? I wish Shenanigans was better, i really like it. (And Secret Rogue.)
The only good thing about Savory Deviate Delight is that it's a decent tech card, thats almost always a bad effect for your opponent. Still i do think it might not see much play in standard. Maybe in wild it ight see play considering there are plenty of decks like: most highlander decks, APM mage, Raza Priest and Big Priest that don't like to get their minions turned into absolute garbage. And Pirate/Kingsbane rogue also doesn't care that much about their own minions, so they MIGHT experiment with it.

pull this off wandmaker and pray to hit their illucia? idk why else u would want this or run it.
Whoops completely forgot it's ALL pirates! My bad! For some reason i thought it was only rogue/neutral ones.
Edit: Seems like i also forgot to actually click on the rogue picture, so it didn't show Rogue pirates either. My bad lol!

Weird form of disruption. We had similar before in Warlock and I don't remember it seeing much play. I assume the same here. Just weakening the 1 mana pool for Rogues.
Casual Dragon Cardgame enthusiast.
Thought this was a Druid card at first (all other reveals from today were). Would have fit nicely in no-minions-Druid. For Rogue though, yeah I think it's pretty great too. I'd like more details on how it works though. Does one player get a Pirate and the other a Stealth, or is it totally random?

Maybe when Pirate Rogue becomes meta. For now, I'm not seeing it. Maybe it could work with stealth synergies?
This card is interesting for a few reasons:
- Its a disruption card for a class that rarely ever needs it
- Its more likely to backfire because the current rogue builds play lots of key cards that they would never want to sub for anything else without a guarantee of sniping something from the opponent.
Its not impossible to see this actually seeing play because rogue already plays Wandmaker, and they can negate the backfiring aspect simply by playing little to no minions: i.e. poison/weapon rogue.
I kinda like it to be honest. But its clear that its a tool to be discovered, not actually placed into decks.
Pretty interesting Card - could work in some Kind of Aggro Maybe Pirate / Stealth Rogue. Not sure tough if this will see much Play otherwise but i think a 1 mana Hand disruption spell is still good on it's own.
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
I love it, also because of the flavor of it. It was one of my sources of income in early WoW.
Very cool disruption spell for rogue. Would be pretty tricky to target a specific minion in the opponent's hand, but skilled players will definitely manage to transform a Tickatus. Can't wait for the Trolden clips
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Some sweet memeage though. If this generated a card and transformed an opponent's card it would super OP. Since it transforms one of your own cards it feels a bit bad giving it a slot.
It would be fine if it wasn't in the class that randomly generates shit every turn all turn. Demonic Project is bad and doesnt see play, but warloCK doesnt have cards that discover cards that discover cards that discover cards that discover cards that discover cards that discover cards that discover cards that discover cards that discover cards....for 1 mana...
Living like that.
I run control in all classes even if it's bad haha, so I'm kinda happy, well more than happy I'm intrigued.
What will the achievement be? I really hope it's "Transform X minions with Savory Deviate Delight" and not something stupidly cumbersome like "Transform both you and your opponent's minion into Pirates X times".
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
Transform a minion in both hands into the same pirate 2 times in a row 50 times :^)

It was awful.
Damn that sounds fun, where do I sign up?!?!?!?!
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
Disruption cards are always interesting. Since this one is class specific, I'm not sure how widely it gets played. It has potentially more value in wild where there are some actual important combo minions.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
Fun card that takes me back to early 00's with WoW. For Hearthstone however, pure trash.
It's a cool card, but idk I don't know what Rogue deck wants to run this?
