Just in case anyone's confused. This will (almost guaranteed) overload for 1 everytime it procs (similar to how Yogg will overload you). This means that this is essentially a worse LIghtning Storm by the time it clears more than 2 minions.
Aside from that it is also RANDOM meaning you can't even guarantee one additional proc.
Basically the only way you'd actively play this in any capacity is if Token Druid becomes so strong that you need to have an answer to a full board on turn 1 or else you lose.
Just play Lightning Storm.

The Overload: (1) is written after the recast this. If it Overloaded for each repeat, it would say "Deal 3 damage to an enemy minion and Overload: (1). If it dies, recast this."
Keep in kind that "recast this" does not actually count as casting a spell. It's shorthand for "repeat this effect".

Hmm seems interesting. Seems good for 1 mana, but the wording confuses me. Do you get overloaded for 2 mana if its effect triggers? if so then wow it's a lot worse. If not then wow that seems really good for 1 mana, even though it targets a random enemy minion.
This card will probably see play in Control Shaman, and in Overload Shaman in order to steal back the board. And considering Overload Shaman just got a buff, it might be playable? (For those who dont know yet, Unbound Elemental got buffed AGAIN. Oh and we got 2 pally nerfs that are going to be VERY significant.)
In wild i'm not sure it sees play. Maybe in shudderwock shaman in order to survive early game against token Druids?
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Full board clear as long as everything is below or at 3 seems pretty strong, especially compared to Forked Lightning. I've been burned on shaman boardwipes before, so maybe I'm being overoptimistic. Definite maybe.

If this only Overloads once, then it's amazing and will help Shaman become a real class again. If it overloads each cast, then it's garbage and makes my Think Hearthstone reddit designed it. Both seem like plausible Blizzard designs..
If this overloads for each cast, this might not be good enough. If it only overloads once, it's very very powerful.
Yep, it all depends on the overload question for this one. But for those comparing it to Lightning Storm, it does cost 2 less mana, and that might be the difference between having enough mana to clear taunts and add some face damage for lethal, at which point the overload doesn't matter.

The way I'm interpreting this the overload definitely stacks as it clearly says recast this, not repeat this. Does that mean this is a worse Lightning Storm? Not necessarily. As Pezman, is already pointing out, this does cost 2 less mana making this card more flexible turn you play it, while the randomness can make planning future turns more difficult. Also, this is not a nature spell making it less likely to be played due to the new Primal Dungeoneer.
Arena > Wild > Standard
Extra board clear not sure it'll see play though. Too weak in late game and too overload heavy early.

The question is whether this card will overload you multiple times as it repeats. If yes, then this card is trash. But because of this, I'm almost certain that it wont.
With that assumption, this card is simply insane. You can full clear the board with 1 mana investment with a paltry overload factor. After that nice discussion with AngryShukie on the overload factor, this card is what I would call a properly strong overload card that makes sense.
That is, as long as it doesn't overload you mutilple times in a row. Dont let my hopes down, team5.
This should be good if all the enemy minions have 3 or less health (and no divine shield). Maybe you need to do a trade or 2 first. I just hope the overload doesn't repeat.
