New Piltover & Zaun Spell - Glorious Evolution

I am glad that Viktor is not one my favorite champions, because Riot really don't want him to be good.

I don't even see why they bothered printing this. It is so bad that not even a meme can be formed from it.

With Viktor being leveled this card means that every card costs 2 less and I could see some sick combo emerging from that. It is still 10 mana to pay but... it has style hasn't it?

I mean you are first of all leveling viktor, something that I feel isn't as easy as it seems since I rarely see him do so before he loses...and you need to entirely skip a turn and do nothing, this card is even slower than War Mother's Call which at the very least begins immediately building you a board. On top of that this card is not in a ramp faction. I just think some memes stop being fun when they are too far beyond the realm of realism. 

Now you doubt but soon you will be a believer, the glorious evolution will come and with it the greatness that (non tlc) combo players ever have been waiting for. 

Do I think of it as actually being top tier? Well i can't say right now I got to tinker a little around it but I have no doubt that if you think hard enough of a fitting build you can turn this card in combination with Viktor (who levels up through the Evolution in no time) into a game winning spell. 

Goldspan Dragon (a card from mtg that costs 5 mana and gives you 2 mana whenever it attacks or becomes targeted by a spell) was the centerpiece of a dozen of combo decks I play and now this card can essentially be the same.

It's tricky to make work yes, but I am way more exited about these extreme puzzle cards that have a lot of potential than a 4 mana birdman...

Fair, we all have our own tastes. I like any chance Demacia has to play the value game, and you like the huge insane effects that are flashy, nothing wrong with that. That said I don't think this will be good, the meta we have now sure won't allow it and though the new set and up coming updates might change that considerably, this would need a huge change to be viable. Puzzles are fine and I can understand them being fun but I just like some reliable cards like 4 mana birdman that can fit into a deck and make it a little less trash than it once was...at least so I hope.

Edit: Also I do think I was likely overly aggressive with my first comment. The card not being for my tastes doesn't mean that it shouldn't be printed.

I like the positive attitude about combo potential, as long as you're prepared to insta-surrender against any Ionia deck.

If this idea is actually meant to be viable, it probably needs to be focus speed or at least fast. I just hate them making things where you "just lose immediately" if the opponent has a certain card. 

Nerf to Flash of Brilliance... now you can get this situational card instead of Progress Day!.

I think it's overcosted, and tries to do too much stuff would be better if it costed like 5 but had no -1 cost.

we saw cards that are "permanent" at 5 mana (Out Of The Way) and it's too slow to play a set up spell at THAT mana cost.. so at 10?

the -1 cost reduction though makes it much more viable cause it pays for itself in like 2 turns in terms of mana but setting it up..

another example is smooth soloist, which lowers costs...lowering costs late game is harder to justify.

at least PnZ got plenty of card draw.
