  • Weapon tech without the (complete) downside? Seems like Doomhammer Shaman will take a hit, for one, along with all the Profession tools as they come in. Good stats for the cost in any case.

  • Neutral tradeable is good. Gets released as the profession weapons come out is no coincidence. If any of those see play, so does this.

  • Oooh super good weapon tech. the bad thing about weapon tech is that it's a SUPER BAD draw, and just sits there in your hand against classes with no weapons. But this "downside" is completely removed because for the low price of 1 mana you can put in back into your deck and draw something better.

100% sees play whenever weapons are popular, and considering every class is getting a weapon, like Prismatic Jewel Kit and Runed Mithril Rod i think it will see a lot of play.

In wild might see play, but Gluttonous Ooze is still a super good weapon removal card. Rustrot Viper has some strong comepition.

  • Basically no weapon would be safe because this card is absolutely insane. Tradeable is already a busted keyword, and now you're pasting it on one of the most niche of counter cards available. So if its against a weaponless class, just draw another card for one mana. If its against shaman you keep it. The fact that it has decent stats too makes it bizarre that team5 would ever print it, because what drawback is there in this card? The only real problem is to find a spot for it in your deck.

  • The fact that this has tradable, and as such can be shuffled away when facing a deck that doesn't run weapons, is the only edge it has over Ooze, but that edge is just perfect for a tech card.

  • Ooze has been replaced!

Tradeable makes this a real strong counter card to run as it doesn't clog your hand when it's useless. It's just a 1 mana swap then, still good. Probably see a lot of play, especially if the new Profession tools are popular.

  • Very good - will replace Ooze most defenitely because this one is way better.

  • I think this is the most solid card revealed from the new expansion yet. Great body for 3-mana, a useful effect, a beast tag, and could be cycled through your deck if you know your opponent doesn't have a weapon (which is a dream for tech cards). Very, very good card that you will definitely run over Ooze.

Sweet card, have better Body/cost than Ooze (2 mana 3/2 < 3 mana 3/4) and the tradeable keyword helps you against decks that don't use weapons.

The only downside is the beast tag, you don't want to resurrect it with N'Zoth, God of the Deep, and that god increases his power when more expansions are revealed, can be a solid win condition for a lot of control decks in the second half of the year because more tribe minions will be revealed.

  • rip weapon classes but for real this time.

I mean, what's even the downside of running this. the only reason why Ooze is a bad inclusion most of the time is because it's always a dead draw if you're not facing a weapon class.

Not only is a 3/4 a much better tempo play, but the fact that you can just toss it backk into the deck whenever you want (and essentially becomes a 1-mana draw 1 if you aren't tossing it off the top). Maybe they should  have saved it for the mini set so the new weapons actually get a chance.

Also, unused Wailing Caverns artwork lul

  • 1 more mana than Acidic Swamp Ooze for a fatter butt.  OR Tradeable and infinitely better.  What I am wondering is how well this mechanic will work and how reliable will it be

  • This is the only Tradeable card we've seen so far that really benefits from being Tradeable: opponent has no weapon? Toss it back. I would love to see Tradeable on other tech cards (anti-secret, anti-tribe, etc).

  • Cards like this are the reason the Tradeable keyword exists.

It's a tech card that is safe to run in your deck since if it ends up being a dead draw you can just opt to not draw it. Wonderful card.

  • I do think this is actually better than Gluttonous Ooze in most cases, so I expect to see this card a lot.

  • The ultimate anti-weapon tech. Are you facing a weapon class? Rustrot Viper destroys the weapon. Are you facing a non-weapon control deck? Rustrot Viper can pseudo-cycle through your deck. Are you facing an aggressive deck and you already have that game winning board wipe in hand? Rustrot Viper's premium stats can delay your opponent just enough to reach your more powerful late game.

  • I think Acidic Swamp Ooze just got killed. Opponent doesn't have a weapon? Send it back for a chance at something useful.

  • Tech cards that can be swapped if needed? 4/5 great card

  • I'm glad Blizzard invent these profession tools, then add a really good weapon tech to destroy them all. Great tech card to add the Tradeable mechanic on

  • I like that they made a weapon tech card that is tradeable. It will let you feel a little better about slotting it into your deck if weapons (or tools) are only somewhat prevalent, but still strong. Let's start a petition to make all tech cards tradeable!

  • It's  a good tech card, but it's a toss up whether this will replace Gluttonous Ooze. Beast Tag doesn't help much in utility. I feel like Gluttonous Ooze is a more exiting card, being able to stabilise you, which can save you the game. This card is just good and reliable, which sometimes doesn't beat exiciting

  • Nice tech card, but that's about it

  • This is why tradeable is a keyword. Tech card that you can just replace. Really strong even in this meta and will be stronger once every class gets a weapon in UiS.

    4 stars

  • That's a pretty decent tool, with a flexible side too - 4/5

  • No more having to tempo out your Acidic Swamp Ooze, now you can just trade it in for a different card in matchups where you don't need the weapon destruction. Great tech card.

  • I'd rather play Zephrys and no weapon techs for now.

  • Nice tech card

  • Great now that everyone has weapons.

  • Tradeable Acidic Swamp Ooze, what is not to like about this card? If weapons appear a lot in the meta, just running a single copy is fine.

  • Nice to see tradeable on a tech card, but if we're playing this a lot, something else needs nerfed.

  • can have a niche application; against weapon classes is very good otherwise normal

  • Making tech cards like this tradeble boosts their power so much. I like this, hopefully it doesn't completetly ruin all use of weapons, just the worst.

  • Poor Ooze... 1 more mana with flexibility thanks to Tradeable.

    Much better tech card.

  • Powerful wepon destroyer and it became an excellent tool if no weapon is played by your opponent

  • One of the best cards in the expansion. The power of an ooze, the versatility of tossing it back into the deck when the opponent has no weapons, and a Beast tag for classes who care about it. What's not to love (or hate)?

  • The new weapon tech for as long as it's in Standard, I think. Tradeable is just such a good keyword for cards like this.
