Yay, Vilespine Slayer is back.
Can be a really cheap removal, but requires you to be in the late game after you've played several other SI:7 cards. I'm not a huge fan of the Rogue Questline, but if it turns out to be good, this will 100% be played.
To SI:7 cards and this becomes a Vilespine Slayer. Not too shabby considering that gives you until turn 5 to do it. Presuming a deck built around this mechanic and it gets even easier.
Not bad... I'm not sure how good yet, but definitely not bad
Combo card that discounts itself and kills something. Should be good.
Its mostly going to cost around 4 by the time you reach turn 5, so its literally just a cheaper Vilespine Slayer, but it can only fit an SI deck realistically.
Honestly, its practically the only thing rogue has against paladin right now, outside of a gamble with the SI devices from the quest. It gets high praise from me because if you wanted a midrange rogue that doesn't do miracle, this card is a near mandatory requirement to build around.
Play bad cards to make a bad card slightly less bad, yeah no thanks
Even at 6 mana this is not bad, remove anything and leave a body is pretty good.
This card should be pretty darn good, especially in supporting the Questline. Don't forget that there are 2 SI:7 cards in the Core set, in addition to the new ones.
I assume this works with any card with SI:7 in the name. Shouldn't be too hard to discount itself to where it's good in the right deck.
It's good tempo, vilespine was a good card at 5 mana.
SI7 seems like a great archetype... This willl be a better vilespine slayer.
Reevaluated this card as it could become an even better Vilespine Slayer, and even if you don't play any SI7 cards before, a 7 mana destroy a minion, leave a 4/4 body behind isn't bad at all
Saw a little of this on the streams. Seems really good.
SI:7 version of Vilespine Slayer. Does anyone know what SI:7 stands for perhaps? I am not too familiar with WoW lore.
EDIT: A quick Google search states: Stormwind Intelligence
Integral card to Questline Rogue, very powerful removal and cheap removal as the game goes on.
So, it could cost 3-1 relatively easily and it destroys a minion.
Vilespine... go cry in a corner.
Hm interesting Vilespine Slayer but only works in specific deck
better Vilespine Slayer after playing a bunch of SI:7 cards, i LOVE IT.
Of course as long as SI:7 cards arent that good in wild it wont ever be better than Vilespine Slayer. HOWEVER as long as we get ANY SI:7 card in the future it can really challenge Vilespine Slayer.
All SI:7 are quite bad
I had to revised some of my rating for the SI:7 crew when I realized there was way more to that package than I was giving it credit for. This Vilespine Slayer is ridiculously potent1
Probably the strongest SI:7, cheap removal for any taunt.
Best one of all new SI:7s, but as with most of the other new SI:7 cards how good they are is largely dependant on if the quest appears to be playable, if not this won't see play either.
I really like how new mechanics like SI7 is being pushed aside from quest completition
The combo effect looks good, and it should be easy enough to pull off since you'll be playing SI:7 cards for the questline anyway. All in all, a good card
I mean, if you're playing enough SI:7s then you play this. Vilespine Slayer was great, and this will be too if you can get at least a couple discounts on it reliably.
