  • Seems a bit too random and hard to execute. A bad topdeck unless you're playing 4D chess and extremely difficult to properly set up since any competent opponent will smell it coming from a mile away and take counter measures. Pretty baller if you somehow manage to keep their board clean though (and Priest will despair if Mutanus misses the target).

Could have some really disgusting results with Imprisoned Phoenix though. Just imagine triple Pyroblasting your opponent into submission.

  • Well i think this could be insane. If you plan a ahead this could burst for 18 - and if you clear the board it all goes face!

I love this card. Fire Mage for the Win :)

  • Flamestrike on 7, new Tony on 8. Some small stuff like Ignite or First Flame the turns before. Yeah, I could see this happening. It might not necessarily be good, I'd still like to try it out.

  • Damn there's a lot of Fire support this set. I'll give it a go. This card in particular does not seem great, as it requires a lot fo setup and the targets are random, but it should be fun!

  • Not a super reliable finisher, but when it happens it will be better than a Ragnaros snipe. You will either need to have a good number of fire spells to start chaining in hopes of drawing or be satisfied with a three turn set up.

  • I want to have high hopes for this... with Flamestrike now able to take out the majority of minions on the board these days, and the number of other minions control that is available through Fire Spells, I'm 90% sure that this card will be making the cut on most decks

  • A LOT of setup to make this work, but this does an insane amount of damage. Any cheap fire spells on the turns before make this work!

  • This looks fun. Shouldn't be hard with all the new fire spells to pull this off on turn 8. Should be strong.

  • If this was revealed at the start of the week, it'll be the most eligible contender for the 'lady liadrin' award for this expansion simply because the fire spells released in the same expansion is completely nuts.

First Flame itself already more or less cover you for two turns. Just have to find one other fire spell before this absolutely destroy your opponent if not his board.

Its certainly janky. But when it works, it really works. And that alone makes it more playable than most of the quests we're receiving this expansion.

  • Really powerful. It won't be that hard to pull off since Mage got a boatload of new Fire spells and synergies, to add on top of the usual ones they run. Could function as a finisher or a board clear, but either way, it's still good assuming you can chain those Fire spells leading up to it.

  • The effect is strong, but three turns in a row is just such a commitment and such a huge telegraph to your opponents that they know to just fill the board with weenies and then laugh in your face.

  • I think you can play a deck that pretty consitently makes way to Antonidas, my problem is that at 8 mana you can't do much than drop it, and maybe you need to help the board so the random fireballs go where you need to.

Spell damage doesn't affect the fire balls. The power level of this card are reduced because this.

  • My first thought was the questline, since you have to cast a Fire spell for each stage. Maybe not since I don't think you would want to wait until turn 5 to even start working on the questline. Well, if you've completed the questline already, the Fireballs should deal 9 damage.

  • Not great, but I need to try it to see if the AHA! Spam is back.

  • Weak but fun.

  • I am going to play this in Wild. Pure Fire Mage

  • Fire Elemental OTK Mage.

With some control over the board, this will be fun to play in wild. Not that much fun to play against... as every mage deck.

  • Requirements seem too random and unnecessary, just play spell Mage and skip this card altogether.

  • Can we make a deck where this only works for me and not my opponent? Super fun card. And if it picks up Aegwynn's DR? Ooooooooh, magical Xmas land.

  • A lot of work for maybe 18 direct damage to the face. Someone is gonna try to make this work, but I'm not holding my breath.

  • I think it's more of a toss in with Ignite if that's at all possible to chain. Let's see how long games last.

  • Seems very very slow. But with all the fire spell stuff revealed it doesn't seem that bad.

In wild i dont think Grand Magus Antonidas will see play. Most mage decks in wild are either OTK, Highlander, Genn/Baku or Casino. And i dont know if any of them even want Grand Magus Antonidas.. The best contender of course is Highlander mage, BUT try casting a fire spell 3 turns in a row in a highlander deck. Oh and dont forget that Highlander mage often has to play Reno Jackson on turn 6, so you have play around that as well.

  • Not sure if it's strong, for sure it's fun

  • It doesn't seem terribly hard to cast a fire spell three consecutive turns in a row as long as you put in a little effort. The main downside of this card lies not in the difficulty of the set up, but in the amount of time it takes to set up. If you need burn damage to kill your opponent, you won't want to wait three turns to get there. And if you need to kill something, you won't want to wait three turns to kill it.

  • Way too restrictive, and then effect isn't even all that strong if it is active

  • We'll see how difficult it is to cast 3 fire spells in 3 turns. Seeing all the support they got in this expansion and the theorycrafting streams, it doesn't seem that bad. Best to use Antonidas as a finisher though on an empty board

  • Can't be random if your enemy only has a face ^^

  • 12 face damage on empty board, but it's not too good with some minions

  • It has great art and flavor, but I don't think it's strong enough to warrant a spot in a deck. Perhaps if fire mage becomes an actual thing it might, but for now I have doubts about that

  • They just had to make an achievement for having all the Fireballs go face for lethal, didn't they? Well, I know what deck I'll be running for the next few weeks...
