  • Not really sold on this. It's pretty good once you get into the 8-10 mana bracket but before that there's a good chance your options will all be poor summoning choices.

I guess it depends on how efficiently you can overload in this kind of deck. At least it's a good payoff for the Quest that isn't just burn.

  • In Questline Shaman, this will often be a 3 costs random 8 drop and that could be what wins. This doesn't do much in the early game, so the play it sees will probably be minimal.

  • I like that they  gave us some support and payoff for Overload Shaman. This has a chance to be bonkers or a major letdown. I wonder how busted it would be if it upgraded on the  overloaded mana amount and not the number of cards played.

  • Great overload payoff. Especially good with the Questline completed. Good finisher for that deck.

  • Watched Kibler's stream and every time I see this its insane. The real power of this card is that its discover, not just randomly selecting a minion, which means its nearly always good for the situation.

Plus, if you're running a heavy overload deck, is there any reason not to play this?

  • The fact that it lets you discover what you summon makes it bonkers, there's always a decent option even if you only play a few overload cards beforehand. Crazy pay-off after the quest.

  • The only hesitation I have about this it if it will recognize the overload cards that were played while it was in the deck vs being in your hand. If it requires it to be in your hand like Nethrandamus, then it is not nearly as versatile.  However if it reacts like Snowfury Giant, then it gets substantially better

  • This sucks until you've beefed it up quite a bit. I wonder what the 10-drop pool will be like?

    • Same, would have rated it so high if it weren't for kibler's show on this, great card.

  • This is so good for tempo.

  • Why wouldn't you put this in a questline deck? I fail to see how summoning an 8-cost minion for 3 mana could possibly be bad. Or at least, 1 out of the 3 choices should be good.

  • More great support for overload.... I hope it is enough....

  • If this upgrades without needing to be in the hand, this is so insanely good it's not even funny.

  • It doesn't have overload. Nope.

  • Great in Duels with Stormcatcher, not sure for Constructed though.

  • Will most likely see play in quest shaman, but outside of that archetype, it's not really needed. Other archetypes like elemental/aggro doomhammer shaman don't need this kind of value.

  • I am not entirely sure how good this will be. It is a nice payoff for an underappreciated archetype, but it's a lot of setup for just more stats. Spending three mana on a random 8-drop sounds cool, but by the time you get to that point in the game the one extra big dude won't be that spectacular.

  • Hinges on viability of overload deck, but probably it will work out at least somewhat

  • Okay so i was iffy on this card, but after watching some of the theorycraft stream stuff i think it's a very good card in any shaman deck that runs a bunch of overload cards. The best thing about this card is that you can DISCOVER something. If Charged Call didnt discover something, but rather just summoned a random minion... Well lets just say that it would have been super garbage.

Luckely Charged Call seems solid thanks to the discover option, and will be a staple in Questline Shaman and any overload heavy shaman deck. Charged Call is something shaman needed: A card that benefits from overloading.

In wild i'm not sure if it sees play. Most shaman decks in wild are either Shudderwock decks, or ODD/EVEN decks. And the occasional Elemental Shaman. I dont think it sees play in any of those decks, but who knows. If the questline is good enough to make it viable in wild, then i think Charged Call MIGHT make it into that deck..

  • good card

Indeed, discovering + summoning it, right then and there gives it the wow-facto

  • I like it. Good value for longer games.

  • This fits into one deck only and that's the Shaman's new quest deck. It can sit dead in your hand for a long time, because ideally you want to play this after you have finished your quest and have this beefed up. But when you do get to play this it can be instantly game winning, so it's still a very powerful card.

  • This will be staple in Overload shamans, still, I don't really see Overload as a really good keyword.

  • In wild overload decks will be very powerful for a great minion for 3 mana and maybe a free Snowfury Giant

  • Has the potential to get really bonkers with all the Overload cards used for the questline. Even if it summons a 4 or 5 cost minion, it's already worth adding to the deck, I believe

  • I guess you play this in the Questline Shaman. I'm not big on Overload cards in general, so the synergies for them I usually view even more poorly. I could see a powerful Shaman deck incidentally having enough Overload cards for this to be worth it, I guess.
