  • Rip Armorsmith, she never stood a chance.

I guess ResidentSleeper Warrior is back in business. Why do they insist on making me suffer....

  • This is incredibly strong! 3 EHP guaranteed at the end of your turn is amazing, not to mention it's a Pirate and works for the Questline.

  • This will become a soft taunt for your opponent. There is no way you let 3 extra armor pile up for more turns than you have to. Plus, this is a nice pirate to help with the quest.

  • Defensive pirate? Neat. Strong body, repeatable effect. This will see play.

That card is strong even without tribe. 5/5 autoinclude on every nonaggro Warrior deck

  • A much better Benevolent Djinn.

  • If you're playing aggro, this is just trash.

If you're playing midrange, then this is just fine. Proct the quest at least, if nothing else.

The problem is that it only has 2 attack. And 2 attack can't even kill a crocolisk. So why you'd need this? Yes, it gives you health, but unless you're facing burn decks there's just no reason to ever need this card. Any 3 drop will be better than this one.

Its for the quest. Outside of that, I wouldn't touch this card even if all 3 drops were suddenly banned from play.

  • Very good 3-drop for control, helps your quest, won't see play outside of those decks.

  • a pirate that play defensively... strange strategy

    • This can see play in Quest Pirate, since you need as many pirates as possible and since you have unlimited value with the reward a bit of sustain is not bad.

  • Great card, and will be totally busted in the already-totally-busted bomb warrior you can play in Duels.

  • Odd quest warrior.

  • Pirates will be so fun to play. Captain Rokara!!!

  • Yup. Good card. Pirate warrior let's go!

  • Interesting pirate... It is different.... Might see play even in not pirate decks.

  • This will probably never give you more than 6 armor, and probably be killed before that more times than not. Maybe it will be just barely worth it for 3 armor.

  • Defensive Pirates? First we had Sword Eater, now this! Maybe there's gonna be some control-ish Pirate Warrior with these cards and Raid the Docks?

  • They're clearly intending Questline Warrior to be a much slower deck than Pirate Warriors of the past. Also good overall for Control Warrior.

  • They might as well add Taunt to this card. No way this card does not get removed asap.

  • So, a pirate that can be played for something else that aggro or tempo.

    Interesting.

A really good effect on top of that.

  • Oh wow, control warrior will love this pirate. It's a must kill minion and can be summoned off The Juggernaut as well. Gonna be really annoying for aggro decks and I love it

  • In most cases I don't see this getting you more than 6 armor, which is strong but nothing crazy. With the addition of the pirate tribe I can definitely see this being played.

  • Interesting spin on usage of pirates, but it makes controly spin on pirate package possible

  • INCREDIBLE card. Perfect fit in both pirate warrior with questline and in control warriors. Any warrior deck that uses N'Zoth, God of the Deep will use Cargo Guard as their pirate.

Also this can get randomly summoned from The Juggernaut.

And in wild it probably sees play in ODD Warrior as well. That actually quite unfortunate. :C

  • one of the annoying card that has to be dealt with very soon

    • That's actually a fair comparison, and with a better synergy with a meaningful tribe

  • I like the implication of slower pirate decks.

  • This isn't inherently bad, but it's absolutely not in line with want pirates generally want to do, and therefore I hard time envisioning this in any deck.

  • Wow, soft taunt that enable you trade with your face an leave your minions to going to enemy face, not strong but enable effective board control

  • Great defensive tool for a deck that usually leans more towards offense. Given the new Warrior questline, this will definitely see play

  • Obviously you play this in Pirate decks, but this seems like one of the ones that might break out of the archetype and see play in other decks too. Mainly because its effect doesn't hinge around weapons - at least not obviously.
