Way too slow to do anything relevant, but nice off of the Quest reward.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Hmm, with one trade this becomes a better Arcanite Reaper. You will have spent 5 for both, but this will also have drawn you a card. 3-4 might be the ideal amount of trades you want to go with this to optimize value.
Good if you trade it at least once before turn 5 and draw it again. But i feel like it might be too slow. But on the other side it might make Auctioneer Jaxon better because you might be able to draw it more reliably if you have multiple tradeable cards. But still it seems way too slow.
And any Pirate warrior deck wont use it, because The Juggernaut gives a new weapon each turn. Speaking of The Juggernaut, if your playing standard prepare to get hit by a random Blacksmithing Hammer from The Juggernaut many times.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Probably never going to see any play because Reaper's Scythe is simply better and doesn't come with conditions that require you to redraw the weapon.
The only niche I can see is you trade this back, draw with Corsair Cache to make a massive 5/4 weapon that will nearly always win you the game on its own. But that comes with its own problems, starting from the fact that you need to first draw it, lose it, then draw it back.
Just play Reaper's Scythe man.
Well for one, Reapers Scythe is rotating in approximately 3-5 months. Secondly it helps create trade synergies (auctioneer jax). sometimes cards aren't printed for the current meta dapper. sometimes they are printed for the future meta.

The big problem with this card is not merely competition, but also that its basically a 4 mana deal 5, which is respectable, but without the upgrade its worse than just about any weapon available. To upgrade it, you need to first dump the card and play it, and since you're spending one mana to get rid of it, you're not playing on curve for tempo, which is nearly impossible to do for any midrange or aggro deck. Then you got to draw it again, and then and only then you're swinging for 5, up to 15 in three turns.
Outrider's axe is weaker than reaper's scythe in aggro quest warrior, but in control quest its the weapon of choice. So where will this fit in? There's one niche it does have is that its basically an infinite weapon in a control game where you can get this up to 6 or 8 durability for a nearly indestructible weapon - assuming no oozes. A nice game plan, but I dont think its going to make it.
The future can sort itself out when it comes. Maybe the midset legendary's going to blow everyone's mind away and suddenly this card goes from trash to god tier in one swoop. But until then, it doesn't look good for this card.
This is awesome! Giving Warrior draw is great. Side benefit giving a weapon the ability to linger around longer and kill stuff, more grand. Although I think we will see more weapon hate based on the weapons from this latest expansion
In a less combo-ey meta, this could be insane because Selfless Sidekick exists.
It's pretty hard to say how many trades you would have to do to get the best value for this. You probably want to consider the mana you spend trading, but since that also draws you another card, you can almost think of it as free. Though after 2 it's a 4 mana 5/5. I'm not sure how good that would be in the late game, however.
