Crazy good in Questline/Spellpower Mage. Excited to give that ago in a few days!
So it's cool that this targets enemies only due to synergies with random casting, but in reality, this just doesn't seem good. It's basically a weaker Apexis Blast. You don't usually spend 5-mana to kill some small fry to get a 7/7 at best.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Hmm interesting card. Seems good for a more board focussed mage deck, and maybe Big spell mage. Spell mage wont use it because it's worse than Apexis Blast, but in more control-ish mage decks (And maybe Hero power mage) they probably will include Arcane Overflow because it's removal + summons a minion.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
It's ok with spell dmg, but doesn't make the cut at its own.

Its probably fodder for Grey Sage Parrot, of which this card is an excellent choice spell.
On its own, its a little weird, because you'd probably want to kill something big rather than make a big minion. But sometimes you can just freeze a big minion and kill a small one with this card to swing board.
I like it, but its a card for a hypothetical big spell mage, which ironically would never beat quest mage.
in and of itself, not bad. 5 mana to drop a giant. BUt if you get it through Deck of Lunacy, it suddenly becomes more relevant. NOw put it in with that damned quest mage deck, and you have mid/late game board control if you don't have the win in hand
I guess it's nice that the extra damage doesn't get wasted, but I kinda wish it hit the enemy hero or something.
