  • What in the.... O.o : l o.O.   < First reaction.

Actually strikes me kind of cool and balanced. Lion's Guard  is hated for the times it goes off but the truth is it often gets stuck in hand as a card you wish you didn't draw. Pretty much same story here. Go underdog stories if you can draw this on time!!

  • Seems a bit too conditional for my taste. If you're down 15 health you're usually in danger and even if this helps you stabilize it won't get you back in the game. At best you can try and use it as a pseudo-Inquisitor and hope it lives a turn to go face.

Seems just a tad too slow for the current meta but I've been wrong about these things before.

    I tried having fun once.

    It was awful.

  • Great for control decks if their behind. Lokholar, the Ice Lord is great when your behind and can be used as a pretty good board clear. And if the meta slows down perhaps you can remove 2 semi-big minions with him. Of course the problem remains that you have to basicly wait until your >=15 health which is unfortunate. But even at 10 mana i guess its playable?.... if you live that long, but if you don't Lokholar will cost 5 mana and potentially allow you to survive at least 1 more turn.

But one thing is for certain, Lokholar, the Ice Lord is a must-include in BIG decks such as BIG Warrior. Cheating it out is easy for such decks, and with Vanndar Stormpikes support it might potentially be game winning.

RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.

  • Looks decent i guess but right now i kinda see this in more zoo-ish style decks. Could be good.

  • This in a Frost Lich Jaina deck is almost a Reno... not sure of the viability right now of this deck but at least seems fun to play with adding more surviability to a deck that was a huge beast in Control.

  • Unfortunately for this card, even a 5 mana 8/8 windfury that require you to have less than half your health gone may not reach far enough to swing the board for you. In most cases whenever you drop this low, you're either going to die the following turn, or you need to clear board to even stand a chance at survival, and this card having no taunt will not prevent your face from getting dead.

As a tempo option, its only fitting place is in a Vanndar deck, or zoolock, where half health is not impossible by turn 5.

If only this had lifesteal instead of windfury. Oh well, we can all dream cant we?

  • Arena: Playable at 10 mana, though this is worse than Darkmoon Rabbit when used as removal as you can also choose not to attack. Needless to say, this is a real powerhouse at 5 mana.

Constructed: Can't wait to try this out alongside Frost Lich Jaina in Wild. Pain/Darkglare/The Demon Seed Warlocks might be interested in this as well.

  • Seems like a really solid Elemental for N'Zoth, God of the Deep, and it offers a very imposing threat to your opponent if it's allowed to stick around.

  • I'd like to compare this to Walking Fountain, minus the Lifesteal but +4 attack. This guy would probably be too insane with lifesteal, but he's still a "comeback" legendary where he can remove 2 big threats and help stabilize the board when you're behind.

If you're a very slow control deck vs an aggro deck, this guy will be your best friend

  • Questline Warlock support. Interested to see what other decks this ends up getting slotted into

  • The Demon Seed may have a new friend.

  • Might be too hard to consistently activate, but when you do it's strong. Unsure how good it will be, depends on the meta.

  • So Quest Warlock just found its new toy. Not sure if any of the other classes are as able to reliably manipulate their Health, so I'm thinking this sees very little play in classes that aren't Warlock.

  • An 8/8 rush windfury for 5 mana can't possibly not be good. Sure you have to be half dead, but I could see this reversing a few games. And if they can't kill it, that's might be 16 damage to the opponent's face next turn.

  • Design is surprisingly decent, especially for a card that discounts itself while having Windfury and Rush. Lokholar the Ice Lord is what other mana cheat cards like the Giants would be if they had a minimum mana requirement. And just like the Giants, Lokholar the Ice Lord will still feel insanely bad to play against.

Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)

  • Decent to stabilize if you are that much behind, but can it save your ass ?

  • Very powerful late game minion, and if timed well can be used with only 2 mana cost with Vanndar Stormpike. Especially with warlock

  • Looks good on paper and honestly, looking forward to play it. Thekan in Wild paladin might like it if it won't be welcomed in standard.

Paladin and Priest can easily give this lifesteal if below 15 health, and swing back to near full (the new paladin card and the priest apotheosis card.

  • Reduce his cost with Vandar and you might have a playable minion. As others have said, outside of Warlock, you are too close to dead when the conditional cost reduction is met for this to really save you. In most of those situations you have more than two minions to remove.

Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.

  • This guy definitely has some utility, even if I personally find the design a bit uninteresting. I don't know if there's some nice lore connection with the ability that I've missed, but at first blush it's kind of bland.

  • An alright card in control, and pretty scary to leave up.

  • This has to be an auto include in Evenlock or Reno Evenlock, reaching 15 health is no issue in those decks.

  • Amazing card, and one of N'Zoth's new best friends, for sure!
