...I'm sure there is a better choice out there, but this what came to my mind first.

Arena: You likely want to play this as a Soul of the Forest type of card with whatever deathrattle you have available. Don't aim for the moon with this one.

Constructed: Different angles are possible with Tamsin's Phylactery. In Wild, it can slot into the already existing Reno and Cube lists, but I feel like that's overabundant. It also has the potential to fit into a zoo list with some specific deathrattles like Darkshire Librarian, Eager Underling, or maybe even Dr. Morrigan.

Yep, I've convinced myself. I'm trying this out with Dr. Morrigan. Don't let your memes be dreams!

EDIT: Or maybe I won't. It's like Darkest Hour but way worse.

    Arena > Wild > Standard

Hmm interesting card for zoolock. Summon a board of minions and potentiall give them a really annoying deathrattle. Or if your a bit memey: Wicked Shipment after it got traded a bunch into Tamsin's Phylactery, which gives the imps the Mo'arg Forgefiend, Enhanced Dreadlord, Burning Blade Acolyte or my favorite: Envoy Rustwix deathrattle! And then watch the magic happen.

Or of course you could play normal zoo and give your tokens Boneweb Egg or Elwynn Boar deathrattles... wait a second Elwynn Boar Zoolock! OOOH that sounds fun as well! So many options with Tamsin's Phylactery!

Either way, there are a lot of uses with Tamsin's Phylactery, and i cant wait to see what people are going to do with it.

RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.

Apparently the expansion where everyone gets Deathrattle support except Hunter.

I generally feel this is a powerful card, but I'M not sure what to use it for.

The obvious combo is this + Wicked Shipment at max. If you combine it with Mo'arg Forgefiend you get to roleplay as Warrior even. Outside of that I don't see many practical applications unless we get some gamewinning deathrattles in here.

    I tried having fun once.

    It was awful.

This card has the potential to be very very strong, but I just can't quite figure out how. Maybe they'll show us a great card to go with it, but for now it will be one of those strong cards that might never see play.

This has potential in Zoo Warlock. Maybe a Loot Hoarder or something like Leper Gnome to refill your hand or deal serious damage to the enemy if you can quickly summon a full board and play this.

Its support for zoolock, and it has a tiny niche of basically prolonging your fatigue with Envoy Rustwix.

Its also extremely dangerous if there ever was printed a card with a deal damage to enemy hero deathrattle, like leper gnome.

Just flexible enough to see play in all sorts of decks, which makes this card worthy of its legendary status.

The amount of hoops you have to jump through for this is pretty annoying: 1)You need to have a good Deathrattle minion die, 2)You need to have a good board of minions that you want to die, and 3) You need to have 4 mana. Zoolock could be fun with this, but if you've found a board that can carry this spell, it's probably just better to cast an AoE buff like Shady Bartender instead. Come find me when you've figured out a way for Zoolock to consistently get Greybough.

I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.

Baron Rivendare -> upgraded Wicked Shipment -> Tamsin's Phylactery selecting Kobold Sandtrooper's Deathrattle -> Rain of Fire

I can already hear the "Alright deck intro time".

Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)

This gives me hives.  Control Warlock just got a little more intimidating.  Add that its an EVEN card makes it more scary for Wild players

What would you want to discover with this? Burning Blade Acolyte? Envoy Rustwix?

Obviously this goes into a deck with very few, strong deathrattles (and probably with Wicked Shipment).

Combined with Sacrificial Summoner, I could see a case being made for running this with Boneweb Egg, Nerubian Egg, and Burning Blade Acolyte. Sometimes you can use Sacrificial Summoner to cheat out Burning Blade Acolyte (from the Nerubian), and if that doesn't work then you still end up with a strong tempo deathrattle from Nerubian Egg for your minions.

And of course, there's also a case for this in a slower control deck that wants to generate tons of Envoy Rustwix or Mo'arg Forgefiend or Enhanced Dreadlord procs. Toss in Vanndar Stormpike and you've got a super fun deck, even if it's not super competitive.

Since it's legendary, I don't think this will become overpowered in token decks. In control it could easily tip the scales in the late game (or make a Control Warlock mirror go on for days...).

Not sure either what would be a prime target .. I came to the comment section to get inspiration.
So far, Envoy Rustwix seems like the most viable, or maybe Mo'arg Forgefiend ?

The only really great deathrattles in standard right now are value ones like Envoy Rustwix and Kanrethad Ebonlocke unless you want to risk death via Hullbreaker and drawing a lot of spells. I do sound like a broken record, but we need to see more decent deathrattles before this new legendary spell can be good.

This looks like one of those cards that has always proven to be too slow. Running as a one of it kind of seals its fate, I fear.

Avoid at all costs in Arena.

Requires solid build around but we will see it leading to OTK combo in Wild for sure.

I'm watching theory crafting streams while doing some of these reviews. The combo of a bunch of imps with this card and the owl is kind of bonkers. Luckily it requires several ticks of the weapon while having the relevant cards in hand, but it is still pretty devastating if it goes off. I hope that combo does not get optimized.

Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.

I wonder if you want to go for something like a Leper Gnome (or similar) in an aggressive deck, or if this fits better in a more prolonged game where you use it to get more cards from something like Envoy Rustwix.

    Welcome to the site!

    HOOT. HOOT.

For a more serious review, simply good with Eggs, Korrak is going to be annoyingly powerful, and THE OWLS WILL KILL US ALL OH GOD!!!

I wonder which deck really wants to play this card. Cubelock is already stacked. Combined with Envoy Rustwix is amazing though.

Great combo potential, a legendary spell, and it's a Lich's phylactery. What's not to love?
