There is the confirmation that the lich that looked like tamsin in the trailer was actually tamsin. And WOW her hero card is INCREDIBLE.
For only 6 mana, you get: Hellfire that only hits minions, 9/9 worth of stats.. once you draw them, and Hand of Gul'dans card draw. So for only 6 mana you gain 10+ mana worth of stuff, and thats ignoring the 5 armor and upgraded hero power. Dreadlich Tamsin is NUTS, but NOT broken. She seems actually pretty balanced. You might think that infinite 3/3 minions is insane, but you also draw a card with the hero power. Which means that the hero power is only useful as long as your not too close to fatigue. Now that i'm talking about Fatigue, The Demon Seed is probably going to like Dreadlich Tamsin, as long as you play her when your at the last step of the quest. Before then you don't want to lose the self damage of the original hero power.
Dreadlich Tamsin will see a lot of play in all kinds of warlock decks in standard, but less in wild. She can summon 3/3 demons, which is really bad for warlocks in wild because it messes with the Bloodreaver Gul'dan ress pool in the slower warlock decks. And even if you wait untill after bloodreaver, the bloodreaver hero power is just SO much better. One deck i can imagine running her though, is Mecha'thun warlock because of the card draw? Maybe also in some combo warlock decks for the draw? Oh and darkglare and other aggro decks often end the game before turn 6, so she comes out way too late.
(In case it doesn't show the hero power yet: Its shuffles a rift into your deck and then draws a card. The rift summons a 3/3 demon, it has no other effect. Just a 3/3 demon.)
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
We are talking about the same Tamsin Roame and Blightborn Tamsin?? Which is the lore involved until she arrives to that One Piece Brook style?

I am always trying to make Maly Warlock decks work in Wild. Immediately started thinking about it again after seeing this card!
I they put out a warlock spell or a 5 mana minion that draws your lowest cost minion, I can more reliably play [Hearthstone Card (VandarStormpike) Not Found] to help reduce Maly’s cost, maybe another cost reduction on some damage spells through Thaurissan, Lorekeeper to draw OG Maly and Draw a bunch of Spells Maly to get the combo off. But… in Wild?! Sooo slow!
However! This Hero card could help delay, the Rifts give me board presence (when I draw them), and could be combo’d with other stuff, even if resurrecting 3/3’s isn’t too strong.
But yeah, it may not (probably won’t) work. We’ll see what else gets printed and I’ll try it when the set launches.
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
Seems a bit...underwhelming. Not that I want another giga-broken lategame control-fucker, but how exactly does this help any deck win games?
It doesn't offset fatigue so it's by default weaker than Demon Seed. It also clashes with Demon Seed because you can't play it until you have accumulated a decent amount of self-damage or else you won't be able to complete the quest in time. Additionally, the Quest Hero power with Demon seed up is just worse because you don't care about spawning little gremlins because Hunter hero power + draw is just better.
Maybe they didn't realise how strong the Quest would be when they designed this but it really just seems like a downgrade by comparison. At least it's better than Jaraxxus.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Arena: Super duper busted! Pick this every chance you get (if draftable).
Constructed: Opposed to Bloodreaver Gul'dan, Dreadlich Tamsin is more suited for midrange or combo decks. I expect/hope any entirely new archetype will be born out of this and Tamsin's Phylactery whether that's in Wild or Standard.
Arena > Wild > Standard
This card is INSANE. AoE board clear combined with crazy amounts of value and a lot of stats in the nearby future. Might just be good enough to completely overshadow The Demon Seed.
You probably run this in almost all Warlock decks, as the Hero Power is strictly an upgrade over the basic one. Basically only used for the AoE, so it's Hellfire that draws, gives armor, and upgrades your Hero Power. Not too bad!
Thank god blizzard gave warlock a fair hero mercenary. A bit of anti-synergy for a zoolock due to the battlecry and shuffling cast when drawn spells into your deck kinda feels more like control.
So guess Hellfire + Backfire + Ticket Master = Dreadlich Tamsin
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Its support for controlock, which means at some point Tickatus will come back with a vengeance.
Too bad, that despite its obvious power, the real deal of this card is that it draws 3 cards on 6 while dealing 3 damage to everything. Because as an ender, its infinitely worse than The Demon Seed, which not only offsets fatigue, basically wins games unconditionally given enough time. The 3/3 imps will eventually do the same, but maybe 5 turns too late.
I wouldn't even say its better than jaraxxus. Maybe play both, just jaraxxus when you want to win games.
I really like this card, strong to drop on 6 but doesn't seem overpowered like the death knights.
Dropping this on 6, likely means a board reset, with you drawing 3 cards (and possibly regaining board due to the rifts).
Quest is just a way more reliable way to win games. Once it gets nerfed, then we can talk. If there's ever a slow, grindy meta the Heroes will shine. Tamsin will have a bit of an edge with infinite 3/3s, but if we're talking about a really grindy meta I don't see how that's better than Jaraxxus's army of 6/6s. (Plus, the Hero Power becomes a liability once Fatigue becomes a factor. Did I mention that the Quest still exists?)
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
My god, her spot is awkward. Doesn't advance Questlock that well, the AoE counteracts Zoolock's ability to get on the board... and I kinda like it. Yes, it's a Duskbreaker Battlecry + Nourish draw which is the components for a broken card when on 6 mana and yet, since those effects are such polar opposites, they work out in balancing the card (for today's standards at least).
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
I'm not seeing a lot of value in Wild, but OMG for Standard and Arena. That is such a good board hit. Granted you cannot draw yourself more cards, but plugging more 3/3 auto cast minions into your deck isn't necessarily a bad thing
Of the three hero cards I've seen so far, this looks like the weakest. But that's more because those others look extremely strong.
Nourish stapled to Hellfire sounds pretty strong, and that's ignoring the 5 armor and upgraded hero power. The fact that chains of dread doesn't advance the quest is offset by the fact that she gives you guys as you churn through your deck. Anyways I love my evil skeleton wife.
This card is unreasonably good. The hero power is a huge upgrade on the Life Tap (which is already the best base hero power in the game), and the battlecry makes for a potentially ridiculous tempo swing.
Keep us posted !
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
I don't know but I see it viable with The Demon Seed and Neeru Fireblade if you manage to empty yuor deck first
yea which is scary because barring Demon Seed bullshit...taking 2 damage was the only thing keeping warlocks in check. Especially since team 5 decided "eh warlocks need more healing than any other class too!"
Sorry, but salty that a class that was balanced around self-damage has largely had that aspect ignored/compensated for so now they just end up with a better hero power than any other class generally speaking.

Honestly, this sees play just because she does so much all at once.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
This.
Battlecry is so full of itself that it couldn't squeeze more effects there. And change of hero power is kind of nice for non questline deck so definitely a card that will be played.
I'm thinking this will be like the other infinite big token generators from Warlock's past cards. It feels broken on first look but I don't know how much of an impact it will be. It is only consistent if you do it with a near empty deck. Questline decks do that, but they also kill you once the deck is empty so it won't be of much use there.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
Amazing card, but I also just love the story they've told across the past few sets. Tamsin has the most obvious transformation, of course, but everything about it has been very fun.
Welcome to the site!
Amazing hero card, potentially can draw the rifts in the same turn which makes it a huge board swing. Wow!
Worth it just for the art alone. My girl Tamsin is looking awesome!
The card itself is amazing too, just a neverending swarm of imps.
