If Mr. Smite didn't exist, this card would be hot garbage. But fortunately, it does, so this card is just a decent 7 drop that demands a silence or it'll likely deal more than 10 damage to your face provided theres no taunts.
Im a bit intrigued, because Ive always thought the quest wasn't good enough even before it got nerfed, simply because its too linear, too dependent on pirates, and you've got to give up your first turn. This card allows aggro-midrange warrior to play something other than 100% pirates while still having a decent end game, with smite threatening lethal should the ship not be silenced.
The drawback of this card, like so many other colossal minions, is that it costs 7, and the game can very well end way before then. At very least unlike the other colossal minions so far, this one doesn't care if your opponent can deal with it; this minion being dead is the best result you can probably hope for.
Oh .. Pirate Warrior support ; how refreshing ..! As good as it might be, I'm not too thrilled that its still the direction Warrior is going further into. Cool design and flavor tho
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
I wouldn't sleep on this card just yet, because if anything akin to Youthful Brewmaster is in the new Core Set rotation, we might see a new version of Questline Warrior on our hands that is more control-focused, because you will be able to play more copies of Cap'n Rokara and thus generate immense value. Nellie is 3 Pirates in one on top a 2/6 Taunt body, leaving you with more card slots for control tools.

You know what'S even better than Brewmaster? Zola. Guess who's actually confirmed to be in the Core set.
The amount of 7-mana Colossals is no coincidence.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
I kinda like it! Could be very dangerous - not sure if the Colossal does enough for the card but the Battlecry is good enough that this will see play.

Good fuel for slow Quest Warrior. Whether that's actually a deck that's gonna exist is a different question but it's support nevertheless.
I doubt it'S good enough as a 1-man win condition with Smite, but maybe Silence just isn't that common.

Well more fuel for the Quest Warrior is the obvious point here. At least it's 7 mana and will be a lot slower than current quest warrior which is a good thing. Could even incentivize a control Quest Warrior where the quest is completed a lot later in the game. We've seen how that's turned out in the past though, but maybe Nellie here could turn that around with her 1 mana pirates you get to choose
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Battlecry: "Discover 3 random Mr. Smites to crew nellie's ship!"
Deathrattle: "Add 3 Mr. Smites to your hand. They cost 1."
Okay in all seriousness, i did see a bunch of people do the math. And CURRENTLY (Ignoring new pirates/the amalgam) you have about a 50% chance of discovering 1 Mr. Smite. Let's hope we actually get some more BAD pirates to dillude that pirate pool.
In standard i think this will actually see play in pirate warrior, as some kind of bomb/reload later into the game.
In wild this sucks, wont see play.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Not sure what to say here, other than every Pirate Warrior deck is probably going to be including this. Well, maybe. The ship needs to die first, which makes this pretty slow, but the payoff looks extremely nice.
Seems interesting. Not sure how much play it will get while Raid the Docks exists, that's still a better finisher.
Still math says Mr. Smite is reliable might make this still an inclusion. We'll see if that holds post rotation with the core changes too.
Casual Dragon Cardgame enthusiast.
NOt a bad late game thing for questline
Way too slow for Wild Pirates, but when Standard Pirate Warrior feels slow and clunky ever since the Questline nerf, this'll be a necessary inclusion to keep up in the next meta.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
Quest Warrior already has infinite value from Juggernaut, so I don't think this would see play in that deck. Now, let's talk about Control Warrior. If you're confident in your ability to find at least one Mr. Smite, this could be some sort of pseudo-win condition to burst down your opponent from hand (or you could just run Mr. Smite and Discover the three biggest Pirates available). I'm actually really excited for this minion for one very specfic reason: there's a good chance that, if it sees play, it gets Mr. Smite nerfed.
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
A little too slow for the average Pirate Warrior match, but it's a really nice tool when the game drags on for too long. Also, the idea behind it is brilliant!
