It basically tutors your win con, or itself. Even at its worst, it will draw you a card while having decent stats to survive for more than a turn.
But Ive a feeling it'll likely be supplanted by Field Contact one way or another. This card is nice, but field contact can and will draw your entire deck given the chance, while this only allows one additional draw per turn.
At least this card can exist in a midrage deck while contact can't. Still, why would I be playing a midrange deck instead of a deck that allows me to draw 10 cards per turn?
Weird but..decent? It's hard to kill so it's not unreasonable to get multiple draws but at the same time, what do you even draw with this? I mean I'm sure Pirates are going to be a thing this expansion but there needs to be a strong wincon behind this or else it's just pointless. I'm not gonna play Poison Pirate hybrid just to draw a few more cards.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
VERY hard to kill, AND you can probably draw at least 2 pirates with it. And rogue is losing A LOT of draw during the rotation. Lot's of important cards like Swindle, Secret Passage and Cutting Class are rotating. Which means Cutlass Couriers tutorred draw will be a lot more appreciated.
Turn 1 Blackwater Cutlass into turn 2 Coin into Cutlass Courier could allow you to draw at least 2 cards.
Or turn 2 hero power into turn 3 Cutlass Courier is also 1 guaranteed card and a 2nd one if it survives the turn.
A thing to remember is that 5 health minions are VERY difficult to deal with in the early game. And considering Captain Hooktusk seems to be getting a new version. (She's in the expansions trailer) i bet this will see play in pirate rogue.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
I'm predicting nerf to 2/3 or 2/4.

Decent enough to see play. Not that easy to kill so i guess you will draw at least 1 card of it !

This will get nerfed. The fact that it is a static draw in rogue dependent only on attacking with a 5 health... that is going to get nerfed to 4 REALLY quick. All this needs is to be stealthed and it will show it's problem
I don't remember Pirate Rogue being a thing for a long time. Is it making a comeback? This could help fill your hand with pirates if there are enough that you would want in your deck, since it has enough health to stick for a turn or two.
Not sold on this pirate, purely coz we don't have a pirate archetype for rogue, just imagine if this minion was printed for warrior 😓
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Pirate Rogue is apparently a thing, all leading up to Captain Hooktusk. It's not a huge leap in logic to find a way for Rogue to abuse weird Pirate synergies, and Cutlass Courier could be a really powerful draw engine for such a deck. Not really seeing any synergies beyond a dedicated Pirate tribal deck, but that's probably enough for this to see play.

Really going to be the main reason why Pirate Rogue will be consistent. Draw is good!

Very solid minion, specially if Pirate Rogue becomes a thing. The stats are good, and drawing more Pirates is always nice!
So this card got the Undead tag.
When I first saw this art, I thought, oh that's a Druid card for sure, just look at that mossy green dude.
Nope, a Rogue pirate, and now a zombie pirate. Will wonders never cease.
