Suddenly School Teacher's looking a lot spicier.
A man is lying on the street, some punks chopped off his head
I'm the only one who stops to see if he's dead.
Hmm. Turns out he's dead.
Mana cheat for both spells AND nagas? Okay that sounds very powerful. Of course you would need a bunch of draw AND nagas to continue the mana cheating, so it's a bit harder to pull off. Which is a GOOD thing. But still, we all know that playing stuff for almost free is very strong. Also i'm pretty sure School Teacher is a very good card alongside Spitelash Siren because of the 1/1 naga tokens, allowing you to cheat some mana and cast spells with them. Also this is a Epic minion, which means you can add 2 of them into your deck AND you can play 2 of these for 8 mana and play 4 or less cost nagas/spells for basically free. Still setting up a 2x Spitelash Siren might be akward, considering it will be difficult to make them both discount the same thing at the same time, because the 2nd Spitelash Siren activates the 1st, which means you need to play another Naga so both will refresh mana after casting a spell.
Let's be on the look-out for any Spell damage Nagas, because then we might see some OTKs pop up... And let's be on the look-out for a 0 mana naga, cuz that will make the 2x Spitelash Siren stuff more reliable.
I think this card will see a LOT of play, especially if they actually keep supporting nagas in future expansions, like they did with elementals. Because the more nagas there are, the stronger this card becomes.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
This makes Naga Mage look like a legit contender. They have a healthy amount of low-cost Nagas, as well as a bunch of cheap spells that are useful in a tempo scenario. The main issue will be endgame. Is Azshara going to be enough on the top-end or will we need more
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
This is a very cool yet scary design, due to the mana cheating it'll generate.
Not to mention that it is flexible and polyvalent - this should see play
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Oh dear...the other kind of mana cheating has been added to this expansion... that alone will make this minion a scary threat and with Zola the Gorgon being added to the core set, there could be a crazy OTK combo that will be found
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Well Naga Mage is going to be a thing this expansion, and I for one welcome our new Overlords.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
This is a card that'll break the meta for mage, not mech mage despite all the support it got.
Basically there are two functions for this card. The first would be obviously as a tempo setup. Play School Teacher on 4, and play this + 1/1 naga on 5, play cheap spell, play Amalgam of the Deep, etc. You get the idea. You can unload your entire hand on turn 5 circumstances permitting. At some point you'd even be able to put out Naga Giant for 0 mana, or at least get it close to 0 mana for a turn 6 board swing should the need arise.
And the second function is as OTK setup. Turn 10, play Spitelash Siren into Faceless Manipulator, drop 1 mana naga (school teacher student, or just naga giant), play cheap spell, then play Commander Sivara, brewmaster sivara followed by Ignite, then rinse and repeat sivara+ignite until opponent dies. Setup requires 6 cards, so its unlikely, but possible. Some pro would probably invent a better sequence than mine.
So, in summary. This card is broken and will probably get some other card nerfed if not itself. It has a baffling 5 health for godsake, and this card absolutely needs to die or you lose. The first scenario of hand dumping on turn 5 is scary enough.
Thankfully unlike warlock, mages don't have a +2 card draw like Backfire and their hero power does not draw. Unless if they decide to bring back Book of Specters to the core set Just to slap me in the face.

Mana Cheat in Mage has always been strong! This will be dangerous and could make Naga Mage good!
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
Naga Miracle Mage should be a fun time. There's plenty of cheap spells for Mage, and enough ways to generate cheap Nagas (like School Teacher), that the Refresh should be very powerful. For instance, it's not hard to imagine a turn 5 SIren plus 1/1 "Student" to get back to 2 mana, then you can play something like Flurry (Rank 1) to go all the way back to 4 mana and act like you haven't even spent any mana that turn. Then you can Zola the Siren (back to 3 mana), then a 1-Cost spell, play the Siren, and at this point I've lost track of even what's happening but I'm sure it's good.
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
So if I understand this correctly, it will alternate between playing a Naga and a spell to refresh two mana crystals? So far there aren't many options in the 2-mana or less range for Naga, so you won't be able to go on forever, but this looks like it could be interesting.
I think this card is partially overated, but still a decent card. You will usually get 4 mana back on it, which just makes this a 2-5 with semi-taunt for free. I worry that with mages strong draw engine it could be worse, but atleast Incanter's Flow will be gone to partially reduce mana cheat, though Siphon Mana and Shivering Sorceress will help with that.

There is also Murkwater Scribe and Hot Streak, which synergise very well with Spitelash Siren. I don't see the pay-off though. An OTK will be hard because of board space issues, and there is no Flamewaker style card that benefits from playing spells/nagas. Unless you want to wait until 9-mana to play Spitelash Siren then build back up to 9 for Haleh, Matron Protectorate, but that is very slow.
Just what Mage needed - more mana cheat! This card is looking very good, even if not many Nagas are played in a deck that includes it.
