This is a 4 mana 3/5 taunt with dredge AND lifegain, this is certainly an amazing minion for control warrior decks! And it rewards you for running bigger minions like Trenchstalker. And honestly getting a 4 or 5 cost card as the dredge might make it worth it already.
The only bad thing about this card, is that you can't really run Igneous Lavagorger and Vanndar Stormpike in 1 deck, cuz their both 4 mana... This honestly is super unfortunate. BIG Warrior with both Vanndar Stormpike and Igneous Lavagorger could have made such an unique and fun deck... :(
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Anti-synergy with From the Depths, worse standalone Dredge than the pirate guy and Warrior has more than enough Armor gain anyways.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Its really suffering from competition right now. Onyxian Drake is the better 4 mana taunt, and this card doesn't remove a threat.
But essentially, its not a bad card. Being able to dredge, gain armor and a 3/5 taunt is about as good as it gets. To be honest, the number of times Ive trade Heavy Plate back to my deck, that card might as well just not exist. I'd put this card over that.
I wouldn't be too surprised if control warrior starts shoving this card in. Even if it doesn't gain any armor because of From the Depths, its still dredging one card up, and that has got to count for something.
