Well....I guess this counts as a Big Spell?

    I tried having fun once.

    It was awful.

What a normal HS player sees: "2 mana get expensive spells. Way too slow, free dust."

What a burgle rogue such as myself sees: "2 mana, add 2 copies of Rune of the Archmage to your hand."

Okay i have looked through all the 5+ cost spells, and i can say that out of the 45 spells (50-5 rogue spells) there are about 6 bad spells i.m.o. those being: Sigil of Reckoning, Deep Breath*, Power Word: Fortitude, Iceblood Tower and Shield Shatter. Most others can be usable in a bunch of situations. This means you have 2x a 1/9 chance of getting a bad card, and 2x a 8/9 chance for good cards. That tbh is not that bad of a chance i.m.o.

*debatable, depends on the amount of spells you run. And of course if any new 5+ cost cards get revealed this math will be a bit off.

This card remains pretty slow, and unreliable which is a good thing. But it certainly will get some good cards most of the time.. Either way i'm looking forward to playing this card, if only to hopefully highroll into Rune of the Archmage and repeat it with Contraband Stash and Tess Greymane. :)

Edit: i just remember that Swiftscale Trickster exists, so that is now also a good card to run in burgle rogue i guess lol.

RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.

Honest to god, this is a bad card. Clever Disguise is basically its superior predecessor and even it didn't push thief rogue up the top, and that was at a time where Bazaar Burglary and Vendetta existed

The one thing this card does that is of any value would be that it guarantees big spells, which may or may not be decisive (imagine getting Rune of the Archmage out of this thing) and then combining it with either tess or Contraband Stash.

But for its lack of consistency, rogue's poor stability options, strong burn options, and the fact that this card practically does nothing, its really very, very low on the priority list. Not even Swiftscale Trickster can elevate this poor card - why'd you play trickster in thief rogue is yet to be established.

All for memes, zero for wins.
