THe ultimate Timmy card. Every casual player will get baited into playing this and then wonder why they never draw their good cards.
Although I'm curious if there's some kind of control deck that actually benefits from this. Maybe Quest Priest?
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
I can't see this being very good, but cards that break the rules always have the potential to become busted one day. It might not be terrible in Druid in Wild, since nearly every other card in that class draws and gives armor.
Your face is already dead
I'm curious as to what would happen if you just played a standard 30 card deck with this to get the health boost? I'd imagine that you'd have to fill the next 10 cards or it will say it's an invalid deck.
I do think that miracle decks could/would use this to get more health at the beginning to help them not die to aggro so quickly. But who knows.
Its the new baku/genn. The downsides are fairly trivial because some classes simply draws way too well. You can legit just play more draw options and cheaper minions to fill your curve while playing control. That's not impossible certainly.
While I dont think every deck will be playing it I wouldn't be too surprised to see some competitive decks with it, because 10 additional health is really a mountain against burn/aggro decks.
That ^^^
Also, it's an okay tech card against Mill/Fatigue decklist. Which is an archetype that got some support recently. If a competitive decklist emerge. Renathal will see play too.
So, anyone thought of a fun deck for this already? It has synergy with High Priest Thekal and Reno. Highlander Pally? Probably not, but let's try it anyway!
Arena > Wild > Standard
Kinda like the design and idea behind this. At the start of the expansion this will see lots of play.
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
One of the devs said on twitter that this is expected to be the most meta defining free legendary they've ever dished out and that they're ready to adjust the numbers (40 health / 40 cards) if necessary. I wouldn't write the card off just yet.
I notice I am confused. Something I believe isn't true. How do I know what I think I know?

"Your deck size (is) 40." That means you must have 40 cards in your deck.
I discovered that! I put him in a Warlock deck to try out and... it took 5 million years to pull off, but with the extra 10 life and additional control cards I put in, I was able to pull of some funny combos. Supreme Archaeology with Cruel Dinomancer and Soul Fragment package delivered. It just took FOREVER.
Damn, this is just insane. Only decks I could imagine not wanting this are combo decks. And it would be a bad top deck, but 39 cards and 40 health for your hero can't not be good in almost all situations.
I feel this card has revitalized HS in a good way. The creative decks that came out from this one card is surprising to say the least. I'm loving Prestor Druid and we'll see even more new archetypes once the expansion releases.
I'm also gonna say this is the best free legendary we've received in recent years.
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Okay so far this card has 100% ressed Control decks and Value decks, and gave rise to so many other new decks, i love it. This card revitalized hearthstone in an amazing way, and i love that memey/fun decks can be competative because they have 10 more health.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
whoever designed and printed this card just ruined the game
I just put in Prince Renathal in every deck, just for fun, and in order the get more time to achievement hunting
It's already meta-defining, so I have no choice but to give it 5 stars.
Just for the sheer experimental side of things, this was well worth it. And 40 isn't that crazy of a number.
A lot of kids go through a rebellious phase, but Prince Renathal's was a bit extreme.
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
I already hate that we're going to see him for the next year and a half.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
Really enjoying this card. 10 Health makes a massive difference in some matchups, and the added versatility in deck building is also quite nice to have!
