Its likely going to work because team5 doesn't just print out stuff like these without first making sure that it would work somehow, and at very worst they can easily buff the archetype. Because with a legendary as iconic as KT, it would be a darn shame if it didn't work.

The only problem with the volatile skeletons on the whole, and thus the viability of this card, is that it hits any enemy, not just face. If abyssal curses functioned the same way they would be no where near as viable as they are now, and thus I'm concluding that the volatile skeletons wouldn't work, get buffed, and then terrorize the meta.

If only KT costs 7, you can then brann it out for a real win. Perhaps it will get buffed at some point. Because Im fairly sure ping mage is tons more consistent than this archetype.

I'm the only one who stops to see if he's dead.

    Hmm. Turns out he's dead.

Lol, let's just sweep that under the rug and pretend everything is still okay.

Doubtless hireek would have worked but team5 chickened out. Yeah, let's go with that.

Could be strong, but I#m worried Skeleton Mage will just be a boring "play the cards and then win eventually" type of deck.

At the very least it has counterplay (somewhat)

    I tried having fun once.

    It was awful.

I wonder if there will be enough skeleton generators to make this into a decent finisher. Possibly. More so if your side is full and their side is empty.

I think this is really awesome.  Although, it is going to need a lot of support.  With decks being able to be at 40, along with a player's life, you may be staring down the barrel at knocking down TONS of life... not to mention armor that gets built up as well  I think it's a really cool mechanic... just not as dominating as Mech Mage

This seems like as one of the very powerful finishers for the Volatile Skeleton deck, the other one probably being Sire Denathrius... Unless Kel'Thuzad, the Inevitable is enough. This is a must-include for any Volatile Skeleton deck, and maybe also a inclusion for decks that run a bunch of Volatile Skeleton cards.

RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.

Ok lets do some quick math on how many Volatile Skeletons we can summon here.

    Cards:

    2 x 1 location = 6 skeletons

    2 x 2 spells = 4 - 32 skeletons (due to how Deathborne functions)

    2 collectable skeletons

    Brann + Zola = 2 extra skeletons

    Total = 14 - 44 skeletons

On an empty board, with would equate to 16 - 76 random damage with 6 skeletons summoned.

All in all, I feel the cost of Deathborne brings the whole synergy down a lot. Most of the time you won't reach that 68 damage coz 2 damage AOE won't be good enough

This 5-star legendary is on par with Sire Denathrius as a finisher. KT is arguably the better of the two because he doesn't have to simmer in your hand before you play him.

5 stars just because he is Kel'thu-freakin'-zad.

On the other hand, I am sorry for the poor Mr. Bigglesworth, at least he joined it's master in the shadowlands

Amazing art, and the potential to crush the opponent with a tide of skeletons is awesome. Love it!
