Paladin has always had a good draw mechanic... so chalk this one right up to the specific tutor pile and appreciate it in all it's glory
3-mana draw 2..most of the time? Is there a way for Paladin to shuffle cards? Are there any cards that want to be shuffled?
I don't see why this needs to cost 3 tbh. Maybe there's some whacky build that runs only specific class cards and wants to tutor them, but other than that I don't see this being good.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Just Paladin cards?
Or maybe one day Thief Paladin comes I can draw all copies of other classes?
If you manage to catch Lightray with it, you'll likely be dropping two 5/5s taunt and this card is magnificent.
The fact that it tutors is the real power here. Just imagine putting minimal amounts of paladin cards and suddenly your cariel is 100% tutored by this thing. A long shot, but it does point out what the card is capable of.
Paladin is always a powerful class because it has powerful class cards. Even non-pure decks tend to run very few neutrals. You are not going to build a Paladin deck with mostly neutral cards just so you can use this thing as a tutor.
So, with the tutor myth debunked, what's left? A 3-Cost spell that discovers a card in your deck and maybe draws an extra copy. That's pretty bad. This spell is worth no more than 2 stars.
My first thought is this would be really good with something like Dire Frenzy, but that's the wrong class. Should make for fun times when Rogue gets their hands on it though.
3 maan draw 2 is good already, so i think it will see play. Especially in pure paladin.
In wild this can have multiple uses, after all you can run this in a mostly-neutral deck and use it to draw some kind of combo pieces or something? It has a lot of potential uses.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Thief Paladin ?! I wouldn't hold my breath on that one
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Very powerful if you hit Lightrays, Elitist Snobs or Legendary Invitations from The Countess
I've seen a few comparisons to Arcane Intellect, but discovering your draw is very potent thing, especially when it's pulling things like Elitist Snob or Lightrays. The only deck building problem this has is that it gets significantly weaker and weaker the more one-ofs you put in your deck.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
Quite a strong drawing tool. It's a bit like Dredge, except you also draw copies. Will surely see some play.
