January Developer Update

Quote From MARVEL SNAP

Here's our latest developer update, showcasing what's included in the Savage Land.

You'll find the newest added character, Zabu, unique Alex Horley variants, NEW locations, card backs, and a quick peek into Battle Mode. More info coming soon!

The Quick Breakdown

Zabu Card ImageOngoing: Your 4-Cost cards cost 1 less (minimum 1).

Savage Land Season Pass card, Zabu, is a 3 Cost card with 2 Power and "Ongoing: Your 4-Cost cards cost 2 less (minimum 1)." It can be picked up by purchasing the Premium Season Pass. If you don't buy the Premium Pass, you can earn it on the Collection Ladder either in February, when it's added to Series 5, or when it is added to Series 3 during the March 2023 Season.

Since Savage Land Season marks eight weeks since Black Panther was added to the game, look for him to make his way into Series 3 sometime during this month, after the next patch goes live.

The Premium Season Pass's exclusive cosmetics:

  • Variants for Zabu, Ka-Zar, and Storm
  • Zabu, Ka-Zar, and Storm Avatars
  • A card back
  • Two Titles

New Cards:

  • Sauron: [3/3] "On Reveal: Remove the abilities from all Ongoing cards in your hand and deck." (Release Date: January 10)
  • Shanna the She-Devil: [4/2] "On Reveal: Add a random 1-Cost card to each location." (Release Date: January 17)
  • Dazzler: [4/4] "Ongoing: If you have 4 cards at each location, +6 Power." (Release Date: January 24)
  • Shadow King: [4/3] "On Reveal: Set all cards here to their original base Power." (Release Date: January 31)

Savage Land New Locations:

  • Rickety Bridge: After each turn, if there's more than one card here, destroy them.
  • Altar of Death: When you play a card here, destroy it to get +2 Energy next turn.
  • Eternity Range: After turn 3, add a Rock to the losing player's side.
  • Plunder Castle: Only cards that cost 6 can be played here.
  • Collapsed Mine: Fill this location with Rocks. Skip a turn to destroy your Rocks.

Ranked Rewards

With the rank reset, it's time to get up that ladder once again. All players have been reset thirty levels from their rank at the previous Season's end (if you were somewhere in Diamond, you should be starting at Level 30 Silver). You won't drop below Iron (Rank 10). Below are the ranked rewards for Savage Land season. You'll have to play ten games to earn the ranked rewards you've already unlocked post-reset.
