Rewards Track: Current progress 7.0

After nearly a month into the March of the Lich King expansion, I am checking in with you again to see how we are progressing on the latest rewards track. I hope you all had a prosperous start!

To kick things off, I only purchased the Tavern Pass this time. Since I dislike the looks of the signature cards, I decided to skip the welcome bundles altogether which saved me quite a few bucks. After opening 221 packs, my collection is not complete yet. Currently, I am missing 4 legendaries, so I have to wait a bit longer to obtain the other new coin. Having closely monitored how my gold and arcane dust levels changed for this new expansion, I think there is no more need for me to buy pack bundles in the future and still keep my reserves on par, unless the HS economy changes for the worse. 

I am currently at level 130 and I have completed all the new XP achievements. The toughest achievement was Rogue's Imminent Demise. Team 5 was kind enough for us to make a few of the annoying ones completable against friends which was very helpful indeed. Not sure if this was intentional though. 

In anticipation of the still to be added Death Knight hero portrait, I have not claimed the level 100 free reward yet. My main goals now are to reach a 1000 wins with the Death Knight class and to complete my last two non-XP gameplay achievements: Corpse Husbandry and The Reborn Identity. A long ways to go still, since I only recorded 158 wins with my new buddy, Darion Mograine.

Just hit level 70 on the free track. I've landed about 30% of the MotLK achievements so far, and I've maxed out all but 3 of my Mercenaries. 

I love the whole "reroll" feature; that was a great idea, and well implemented. 

Even the Battlegrounds rewards track is nice, they've mixed in free rewards with the paid stuff. 

Overall, I'd say Blizzard is handling rewards and progression quite well these days.

Agreed, we are slowly but steadily getting there.

The reroll feature does need more refinement though, because it rerolled my normal Lady Deathwhisper into a second copy of a normal The Scourge when I claimed the level 80 reward of the paid track. I did not realize beforehand it only offers cards from the same set. Lesson learned the hard way, I guess. It is strictly better if the reroll procedure (a) does not trigger, (b) show a warning about the intricate situation or (c) present the same card when a set is already completed.

Now I am stuck with the ugly signature card, unless I convince myself to use my arcane dust inefficiently to get her back.

Hey there, I was just wondering if anyone made a new thread, and there you are, Neb, you beat me for a whole week! So thanks again for creating this wonderful thread.

Althrough I didn´t plan to buy new TP this time, my dear friend convinced me to go for it - and even paid for it, alonside with the new Hunter hero - my sister Sylvanas, Ranger General! They knew how much I loved the new portait as I´m a hunter main with admiration of bows (surprise! lol), and that there is no way I´d buy it myself for that price. They knew what I went through these past months, so they wanted to make me happy - great great kudos to them! ♡ (P.S. first of the hunter packs contained Huntsman Altimor and the second one golden Beaststalker Tavish!)

So now on to the topic:

With the bought TP and saved quests I jumped right past lvl 20 and opened Felerin, the Forgotten. My lvl 50 legendary was Anub'Rekhan, but I won´t disenchant him, because I was about to craft him anyway.

Right now I´m at lvl 65 with the full log, so I´m getting really close to the 20% boost. My XP achivements are at 45% done and counting, but these few days I focused on hitting 500 wins with DH, so I didn´t progress much. With mercs, I didn´t play much, but I was finally able to "catch" them all, by crafting my last missing Ysera. This left me with two free packs, so it´s time to hoard more for the next new batch of mercs.

I am almost at level 90 as of this morning. I have been grinding XP achievements and ignoring the implications for ladder (only made it to Gold 5 last month :/ ). 77% in March of the Lich King, with some of the worst ones still to complete.

I love the addition of DK, but as I have been playing a ton of jank, I have only about 40 wins with the class.

I concur with earlier posts in this thread - the mercs coins revamp has been a nice change. Once I finished Chromie's 18 tasks I switched to just doing the two dailies, and I now have all but 4 legendary mercs maxed as of today (I had over 40,000 renown from excess coins prior to the system update). It's slow going, but two bounties a day is feeling pretty chill.

Marvel Snap has had me quite distracted. Been playing that a lot in my down time. Though this isn't necessarily a fault with Hearthstone. I love the expansion, the new class is fun, I even bought the Reward Track! Have about 9 legendaries and they've all been real fun. Rotgill was a surprise hit to me. Been able to get some surprise lethals with that. I crafted Souleater's Scythe and that's been a blast. I love a fun build around card. 

At reward level 67 so far. Just taking it slow but I'll cap out the track for sure. Enjoying the hero skins too. Deathknight versions of other characters are really cool.

I did hit the Tavern Regular again (#6). So that was a nice bonus.

Edit: Well damn. After not opening packs for a month, got one today and pulled Signature Blood Matriarch Liadrin and High Cultist Basaleph. Had the regular Liadrin who I rerolled into an Invincible. Also got a Standard pack off the reward track which had a golden Epic in it. Not that I've won a game today but cool comeback.

I had a pretty busy schedule this last month and a half so I was not able ot play (again) as much as I would have wanted.

I bought the tavern pass day one and got to lvl 76 today. I am still missing one of my weeklies so I will probable get to 77 this night.

As for the DK class, I only got 18 wins and got to lvl 24 with it but really like it, even if it is not really that powerfull. The flavour is really nice. 

Waiting for the next round of nerf to craft most of the stuff that I want, as I have aroun 8k arcane dust in total and some nerf could get me into de 9-10k territory.

I am currently at level 200 and reached the halfway point on the Rewards Track. Along the ride, I have completed all of the gameplay achievements.

It has been awhile, but I hit legend in both Standard and Wild again in the same season, this time using Evolve Shaman and Even Shaman respectively. The latter Wild deck is super consistent and it almost feels unfair to play it on the ranked ladder.

As for my Death Knight wins progress, I have recorded 361 wins so far. I have decided to NOT waste 1000 gold (or more) for the new Ghoul Queen Scarlet DK hero portrait because it is simply a "scam purchase" without guarantees, even after the requirements change.

Now I am eagerly waiting for the next balance patch and mini-set to arrive whilst steadily adding more DK wins to hopefully get my hands on the free Arthas, Kingslayer hero portrait soon™.

Neb, you´re fast as light again! Not only you´re the king of the Snowpocalypse 3, you´re also light years ahead of us on the Rewards Track!

I´ve hit level 70 a week ago and got the 20% XP boost. I´ve also hit 1600 total levels on Tavern Regular and chose my ninth hero portrait Judgment Uther, so it leaves me with Malfurion (or the new DK potentially) as my last.

Now I´m at level 90 and my XP achievement count is at 60% done. I´m not really in much hurry since I have other things to deal with in my life. I´ve stopped playing Mercs, since I have them all atm and maxing them all up takes too much time, so I´m having some break till there are some new minions added.

I just passed level 300 and the end of the rewards track is looming ahead.

I also became legend in Classic for the very first and last time, because I just wanted to complete the Back In My Day achievement. This mode is infested with dumb bots and my Control Warrior farmed them all easily to legend. 

My Death Knight wins progress is at 440 wins, inching slowly but steadily towards the golden hero portrait and beyond. 

Today is Valentine's Day, but even more importantly also the launch day of the Return To Naxxramas mini-set. Hopefully, the new cards will be able to improve the current stale meta.

Two weeks ago I´ve hit lvl 100 and chose Anduin of Prophecy as my 8th RT Hero.

Right now I´m at lvl 150 (half way from Neb lol) and my XP achievement count is at 70% done, looking forward to the next ones from the Nax mini-set. I didn´t really move with Mercs, but since the mode is dying, I guess I just get the last bunch of mercenaries with my free packs and try the new Boss mode.

With the 6k of hoarded gold I´m more than ready for the new mini-set, hope it´s good enough to shake the meta. Good luck all!

Yeah, we can just open all previously hoarded Mercenaries packs as a big "unboxing" party since there is no longer need for them in the future. I should have a reasonable chance to "catch" all six new Mercenaries (1 legendary, 4 epics and 1 rare) by opening my last 55 packs. After completing all 18 tasks per new Mercenary, we can open those 18 rewarded packs (in total) as well to collect free portraits. Using renown we can slowly but surely max out these six last Mercenaries which will take quite some time, but I see no reason to speed up this process by doing their bounties over and over again.

Furthermore, I suppose they do not plan to remove the XP completely from this game mode, but I can imagine them downgrading the amount received which makes "farming" this game mode for XP far less appealing.

EDIT: All Mercenaries have been collected. Game over! 🤡

It took me a lot of time, but I finally crawled to lvl 200 (again, half from @Neb :D ) and my XP achievement count is back at 50%, spending all my play time completing them, until they disable the XP points from it. Getting closely to the new expansion, looks like this will be my lowest level yet. With Mercs, I have finally collected them all, slowly finishing last remaining tasks, not really bothering with the new Boss mode.
