Its just a more consistent Tracking, but very specifically tracking for a combo piece, or a tech card. Mostly likely a tech card, because you can't select just any card in your band, that card you select must still respect the two copies rule, essentially meaning you can't just pick a combo piece you already included into the deck (unless its the second copy)
Most likely you'll be packing ooze or starfish, or a second win con into ETC. Like denathrius, or jailer. Cant see anything else other than those.
I really like this card. It's very good for tech cards. Instead of having 3 very situational cards that you can draw, you have only 1. Very Flexible.
Has anyone experimented yet? I'm wondering if you play it with Brann Bronzebeard (or replay it with Shadowstep or Zola the Gorgon), do you get the same 3 options, or is your first choice removed? Is it like Souleater's Scythe, where each card can be discovered only once? If not, I could see Rogue abusing this to get a ton of copies of a particular combo piece, although I'm not sure which piece that would be.

Just checked with everything and yes, it's like the Scythe, you can only choose each card once and it's removed from the pool.

This card is so awesome and I'm glad Blizzard recognize the benefits of having a side board. Also the rules you can break like having odd cards in even decks etc is so awesome and makes natural sense coz the side board is using the discover mechanic, which I think is quite a neat spin on using a side board and is distinctively HS flavor. I can just add all my tech cards to ETC now or change my game plan completely by adding in another win con.

Has anyone stolen or copied your opponent's ETC? With Souleater's Scythe, copied Bound Souls give you nothing. What about ETC?

This is certainly one of the most interesting cards I've seen ever. Not sure what cards I would put in the sideboard though.
Feels a bit overrated. Sure, you can sidedeck now, but you also have to pay 4-mana to do it.
Can't run Weapon tech with it because that's too expensive. Probably only good as a counter to lategame strategies.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Note: You can't put C'thun the Shattered or any Start of Game stuff: BANNED BANNED BANNED
Disappointed but also relieved.
I love this card. I love just adding a bunch of niche tech cards in the band, and picking one depending on the matchup. I think ETC will continue to see play in a lot of decks, and in Wild ETC is good in EVEN decks so they can get ODD Cost cards, and in Reno decks so they can get a 2nd copy of a card.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
So if I play this card once, without bouncing it back to hand, then I only get one side-band member, correct?
Apparently this is a hot take, but ETC as a Tech Toolbox is bad, garbage even.

Always enjoy the early introduction of a set-legendary, before expansion release. And this one was no exception; I welcome the inclusion of sideboard in HS!
